As far as the transfers of the prequel films go to blu-ray I think all 3 of them especially episode 2 Attack Of The Clones and episode 3 Revenge Of The Sith will look good in 1080p HD. Their are some people on this forum that episode's 2 and 3 won't look good in 1080p I disagree with those who say that the last 2 prequel films where shot all-digital and shot with the highest quality HD Cameras. Episode 1 TPM was the only one of the prequel films shot on 35 mm film and I hope it gets a new digital transfer because the original TPM dvd release with it with a lot of DNR in the transfer.

You keep repeating yourself. I think we all agree that Star Wars is going to look great in 1080p HD Blu-ray. The people who are saying it won't look good are not talking about 1080p. They've stated several times they're talking about when a higher resolution home media format comes out.

But to make all of the fans happy even fans of the the un-altered OT both cuts of the OT should be put out on the blu-ray box set. Again I like the Special Editions and I think it is important to preserved those original cut of the OT. Star Wars was ground braking the way it was original release in 1977 and it should be preserved along with their 2 sequels ESB and ROTJ in their original form.
Yep - this should be the defacto Star Wars set with every version and all the extras. I know GL likes to milk it but there is really no reason he cant just give them all to us. I actually mostly like the enhanced versions of the originals - the cleaned up effects look good and some of the scenes make the films blend better with the prequels. Of course, I hate the egreedo shoots first and the Jabba/Mos Eisley scene but thats all I dont like. Oh wait, the Jabba Palace scene in ROTJ new song sucks too.

For one, putting every version in would raise the cost signifigantly.

Since you're talking 3 cuts of each OT film. Which can't be done with Seemless Branching. Technically 4 cuts of ANH, but at least the "Episode IV: A New Hope" title card can be seemless branched. And then you have 2 cuts of the Prequels. Though those are certainly easier to seemles branch. Then you have all the time and money to restore and prep the old versions of the films. So yeah, there is a reason not to offer them. Not to mention Lucas' rights as the artist, not wanting to. And again, if he was milking it.... HE WOULD RELEASE THOSE VERSIONS. So it's a silly thing to say.

GL is not milking the release for both the blu-ray box set and the 3D release. He is releasing the versions he wants to release.

Why did you create a whole new thread just to post low res pics taken off the internet?

The stuff you posted yesterday wasn't exactly authentic. I think most of the shots were from a Dutch Fan Edit. And the case wasn't real yesterday just like the tin (it doesn't look like a tin or Steelbook) you've posted today.

I'm all for having fun while we wait for genuine information but wait 'til April 1st for the wind-ups. Otherwise people get confused....

Lucas WILL include both theatrical and special edition in the blu ray sets that's why each OT set will have 4 discs the first 3 will be for theatrical and special edition and the fourth will have every deleted scene/extended scene that ever existed remember OT'S they were included in 2004 dvd and will be included again with a slight pic upgrade NOT a full hd upgrade like the special edition will have.

Someone is living in fantasy land. Considering they already stated the original versions weren't being included.

Again, there's no way to really fit both versions of the film on one disc. Because you can't seamlessly branch them.

Those scenes i posted today are from the deleted scenes list as for the steel book the artwork will be the final product.

Not if they used the 480p versions directly from the DVDs...doing what the Aliens set did by "archiving" previous extras.

Because he's a troll who wants to keep up this appearance that he is involved with and has inside-info on the Blu-Ray release of the Star Wars movies.

It's just funny how he keeps epicly failing at doing so. I mean, if you (and I mean 'you' in the general sense) are going to post a custom cover and claim it to be an official design, at least make an original one from scratch.... and certainly do not steal one from the very sight that you are posting the informtion on.

As a rule, I never trust anyone from New Jersey anyway.

But it's obviously fake information.
