TPM:
Like: The final duel.
Dislike: Jar Jar's antics.

ATOC:
Like: ...Jango's cool, but...
Dislike: Boba ruins his character because he's so poorly acted. The acting is terrible. The romance is terrible. The plot is boring. And the action is mostly uninteresting.

ROTS:
Like: Seeing Vader get the suit. Most of the Vader/Obi battle. The opening section featuring Dooku. And the actor who plays Palps/Sidious.
Dislike: NOOOOOOO. Any other instance of bad acting, which is almost everybody everywhere. Grievous. The pathetic scene where Sidious takes out two "Jedi Masters" without them breaking a sweat.

ANH:
Like: OBI-EFFING-WAN.
Dislike: ..............

ESB:
Like: Everything about the Empire. They're awesome. Seriously. They should have pwned Luke and his friends. Go Empire!
Dislike: Lando. Honestly, ever since I was a kid, I always thought he was scum. And the pacing on most of Cloud City just feels off to me.

ROTJ:
Like: The "bike chase" through the forest of Endor, and the Ewoks (while admittedly stupid) are downright hilarious.
Dislike: The too-happy-for-this-series ending.

Dislike - Dooku Duel is way too abbreviated/cut

A New Hope:
Like - Death Star battle
Dislike - Farmboy's corny home life

Phantom Menace:
Like - Qui-Gon/Obi-Wan vs Darth Maul
Dislike - Story, dialogue, acting. Jar Jar Binks. Anakin

Attack of the Clones:
Like - Obi-Wan vs Jango Fett on Kamino. Yoda finally fights.
Dislike - Forced romance between Anakin/Padme. A "dart" that leads Obi-Wan to Kamino? Weak.

Revenge of the Sith:
Like - Anakin vs Obi-Wan. Anakin becomes Darth Vader. Jedi purge. Luke and Leia's birth, Seeing Tarkin/Vader/Emperor overlooking the Death Star construction
Dislike - Order 66 and the willingness of clones to turn on their Jedi friends. They weren't droids...

A New Hope:
Like - Mos Eisley! Vintage Star Wars. Flying in the Millennium Falcon, learning about the Force. Death Star spacebattle
Dislike - Nothing

Empire Strikes Back:
Like - Hoth Battle. Luke meeting Master Yoda. All of the Bespin Cloud City sequences.
Dislike - Leia kissing Luke. If Lucas really knew at that time he was going to make them brother/sister, he shouldn't have put that in. If he really did, he is weird.

Return of the Jedi:
Like - Epic last half. Yoda passes on. Space battle and Luke vs Vader. Vader destroying the Emperor.
Dislike - Not much. Very minor details, not worth mentioning.

I actually liked the scene with Obi Wan with the Cook and the delivery of the line "Depends on how....deep your pockets are..." was really well done. But you are right, Jango using a dart to kill Zam (a useless character anyway) that leads the Jedi RIGHT to the cloning facility was really weak (and stupid of the character). If you are an bounty hunter involved in a intergalatic political assassination conspiracy, you might want to just use a blaster to kill your fellow conspiractor...lol. Can't trace a blaster shot...

Jango probably didn't care if he got traced, he never seemed that afraid of the Jedi to me anyway.

Phantom Menace:
Like - Palpatine slithering his way into the position of Chancellor, Duel of the Fates
Dislike - Story, writing, the lack of any likable characters except for the cool looking bad guys

Attack of the Clones:
Like - Seeing the army at the end, fantastic and beautiful locations
Dislike - Anakin Skywalker, the wooden and forced relationship between Padme and Anakin, gratuitous overuse of CGI, lame aliens that look like cartoons (see the scene where Dooku is speaking to the leaders of other worlds on Geonosis), Yoda (I realize he had to be CG in II and III so he could fight, but I never liked the change to his character)

Revenge of the Sith:
Like - The shots of Anakin after he murdered the Separatists, Anakin's fall on Mustafar and going into the suit, the opening battle scene on Coruscant
Dislike - More of the gratuitous CGI, Anakin's abrupt change from rebellious "hero" to child murderer, Vader's hilarious "NO" at the end, Yoda

A New Hope:
Like - The story, the memorable dialogue, the Force is more mysterious and cool, the character development, the originality
Dislike - Pointless scene with a cartoon Jabba, Han shooting after Greedo in a bad looking change from the original, the changes to Mos Eisley and the rest of the unnecessary changes throughout the movie

Empire Strikes Back:
Like - Yoda/Luke on Dagobah (all scenes), Han and Leia's relationship including the scene at the end where he goes into the carbonite, duel between Luke and Vader, introduction of Lando, Imperial March
Dislike - Leia kissing Luke and Luke's reaction, Emperor from the original version, Luke sucking at the Jedi training

Return of the Jedi:
Like - Yoda's last scene, A mature Luke pwning Jabba's goons, Leia in the bikini, Emperor/Luke/Vader (all scenes), Anakin's funeral and seeing the ghosts of his father alongside Ben and Yoda
Dislike - Jedi Rocks, Hayden at the end, the Ewok tribes taking on the all-powerful Empire and winning, the scenes of them interacting with the Ewok tribe (Threepio being the leader, them "cooking" Han, etc.)

You seem to have lost sight of the overall plot... Darth Sidious wants the Jedi to get the Clones and to use them to fight the droids... whether the time table was exactly how he envisioned or not is up for debate, but the whole goal is a clones vs droids meatgrinder that happens grind up the Jedi and get them in a position for check mate.

Jango is a stooge with a double purpose and having it be to lure the Jedi there on purpose seems pretty likely...

So what you are saying is that Sideous told Jango "When you kill Zam, please use a dart that will be provided to you from the cloners on Kamino..." If that is the case, Jango is the dumbest motherF#$#$ in the entire saga. I am under the impression that Jango is just stupid (which explains Boba's untimely demise as well in the films). I mean, to use a dart that is easily traceable to the very planet you go to hide out on... I mean c'mon....lol I don't think Sideous or Tyranus told him to use the dart. I just think he was stupid and escalated things ahead of Sideous' timing is all.

TPM:
Like - The opening saber fight, the closing saber fight.
Dislike - Virtually everything in between.

AOTC:
Like - More and different things every time I watch it but the seismic charges are a crowd pleaser every time.
Dislike - Anakin was supposed to be consumed with all manner of conflicting emotions but Hayden couldn't seem to convincingly convey, well, any.

ROTS:
Like - Ian Freaking McDiarmid. Ewan was awfully good too.
Dislike - Samuel L Jackson was pretty terrible and the 3PO 'comic relief' got more than a little tedious at times and of course the passionate love affair that a bad episode of The Wonder Years could have put to shame.

ANH:
Like - Literally everything.
Dislike - Nothing comes to mind. I'm not suggesting it was perfect but none of the various flaws rise to the level of a dislike.

ESB:
Like - Vader, Vader and more Vader, particularly the duel.
Dislike - Not a huge Lando fan.

ROTJ:
Like - Luke/Vader/Palpatine showdown.
Dislike - Pretty much everything else with an extra dollop of loathing for Ewoks. And maybe I'll single out Harrison Ford too. I know he wasn't crazy about the role by then and only did it because he was contractually obligated but that's no excuse for tanking it - you sign the contract, you do the job.

Oh, and add 'score' the list of likes for all of them. He gets overlooked but from the opening fanfare in 77 John Williams did an amazing job and played a huge part in the overall success of the franchise.

I see what both of you guys are saying and I agree with each of you. My issue with bringing it up was the fact that I thought the dart itself was relatively weak. It's a weak plot link. Could I do better? I don't know, but I think George should've seen a script doctor and found out a better way to get Kenobi onto Kamino. And if Sidious wanted the Jedi to find the clones and use them, I wonder why it was on Kamino (not a well known system) and the fact that the Kamino was erased from the Jedi archive itself makes me even more confused. I just think the whole issue should've been re-written. A lot of things in the prequels should've been re-written.

Kamino saber dart + mystery of why planet was wiped from archives = Obi-Wan on official mission to Kamino. Risk to Jango yes but at that point they probably didn't need him to keep farming new clones.

It's interesting that you mention that octogon. I fully agree that all of the scores were fantastic, but I also think it's a contributing factor to some of the arguments here.

I think the scores for the prequel trilogy were some of Williams' most beautiful scores, but they were (in my opinion only) so very different in tone than the music from the original trilogy. I think many fans felt a disconnect from the PT and I think a more musically familiar landscape might have made them a little more comfortable.

I'll give a specific example. The scene in TPM when Anakin blows up the Federation ship and flies out. Personally, I think that scene was a little silly, but the music - for just a moment - feels very much in sync with the music from Empire or New Hope. Most of Phantom Menace felt hard for me to adapt to the first time I watched it, but for that brief moment it felt very much like Star Wars.

I also think that while Sith was much closer to the original trilogy in many ways, the music still tied it to the emotional tone of the first two films.

So I agree, six strong scores but two very different styles.

Cheers

Not quite, as. I imagine Sidious nor Tyranus micromanage like that. Given the double meaning in Jango's "they'll do their job well" line, I imagine Tyranus did more than a little hinting, though maybe not to the end point Jango thought. Given his hostility to Obi-wan, I'd bet Jango thought the Clones would be used against the Jedi from the outset, but we know he's also involved with Gunray and the Droids, so it might not be inconceivable for Jango to have guessed what was coming all along and been playing his part. The fact that he's on Coruscant himself and he's the direct link to Kamino is almost begging for anyone to connect A to B.
