I know I've been down this road before, but yes, Anakin is the chosen one, not Luke. The prophecy was that the Force would be brought into balance. It really had nothing to do with power or political systems. It had to do with the Force itself. That was brought into balance by both sides flowing through & dominating Anakin. When he turned and turned back, it balanced the Force. Think of the Ying & Yang symbol... How it's a circle, with each side drifting into each other and one spot of each side within the other. Then think af Anakin turning, then turning back. That's where the balance came from.

That the twins are born in the same moment Anakin becomes Darth Vader is a sign that Obi Wan and Yoda follow up upon.
Having a high midichlorian count doesn't necessarily make you the greatest "fighter". It makes it easier to hear the "will of the force" through which Luke gets the idea that it may be possible to bring his father back from the Dark Side.
That's all well & good, but it was not part of Ben & Yoda's plan. Their plan was in the hopes that Luke would defeat Vader & the Emperor, as in kill them.

Luke: I cannot kill my own Father.

Ben: Then the Emperor has already won.

It went the way it did because of something not in Ben & Yoda's plan. Their plan was battle. With that said, Ben & Yoda (a few years sooner) were far better choices than Luke. Their plan failed. They were just lucky that the person their plan hinged upon had a better one of his own.

They are currently way too busy discussing some completely unrelated SW stuff.

Happens a lo around here.

I have read it, and am seriously psyched about it.

I just finished watching "ILM-Creating the Impossible" for the 4th time.

I hope that documentary can be found in the set as well.

I can't get enough of it!

Gosh, can't we just skip a few months.

I don't know if it was discussed before, but since Liam Neeson did some voice recording for Qui-Gon's spirit in The Clone Wars, wouldn't be nice if they recorded dialogue for his spirit scene at the end of Revenge?

Yeah, it's been discussed at some point in this megathread. And I hope it happens also.

Star Wars and it's 2 sequels should not be excluded from that.

Well said.

When I read comments like that I sometimes have to double check what website I happen to be on at the moment.

I don't remember if this has been posted before on this thread yet, but 'ADYWAN' noticed from the Encore documentary airing last year that some scenes were color corrected in 'The Phantom Menace'.

So maybe this is a hint of some prequel changes to come.

Yes by all means, allow screencaps from a broadcast affect how you feel.

BD is going to look great. Brighter is better.

Adywan should be working for Lucas.

EDIT: It's hard to tell which is better... The darkness brings out some detail in parts but it causes some detail loss (inside the commentator's booth thing).

Yea, I certainly agree with that. +1

And here is a much larger version of the screencaps-

[Show spoiler]

What I like about them is that the color matches 'A New Hope' more, which helps bridge the two trilogies a teeny weeny bit better.

Too bad it couldn't lose all the detail in those stupid commentators though.

What I see is an overly bright and washed out image.

Same. There's no mood to the scene now at all. Looks like your shining a spolight on the screen.

And then filming the resulting image. All of the dirt and grime of the world seems to have been washed away.

Yea, the gamma or contrast seems to be quite a bit off in those shots, but the color is a definite improvement if they do decide to go with this approach.

Agreed and a film shown from a tv broadcast looks different from a blu-ray disc as far as detail goes. Their is no comparison.

Donīt get me wrong. Of course Anakin is the chosen one and brings balance to the force... All I am saying is that Luke makes him realize that. What I was trying to say is that "fighting" wouldnīt have solved anything.

I never liked flubber yod and the super hero Jedis of the PT.
The OT by himself made sense to me cause the Force was mostly spiritual thing.
Yoda and Ben were wise old men who were way past their prime.

The sad thing is Dooku and others (including Yoda) were terrific fighters like they were 20-something.

So again I think it's a plot hole which arises only because of the PT.
