Ronin,

Between the existing DVDs, this new box set, and the new "Making of", in depth books that have been released so far and with Jedi on the way, there's just nothing more to the story that I need to know.

I know practically everything in how this Saga was made.

Already you want to make a Special Edition cut of IndyMLVC's artwork? Who are you? George Lucas? Maybe he didn't have the technology available to make it not look like Earth?

J/K, I respect Lucas' art (with the exception of Jar Jar).

Starwars.com says that MORE will be revealed during this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Fwah?!? Let the speculation begin.

BTW! Did anybody else notice that there was NO artwork shown for the 3 supplemental discs included with the Complete Saga set?!? I hope that doesn't suck as bad as the master pack. I can live with the individual trilogy packaging though, it's pretty good and fresh. It definately isn't the best star wars art out there, IMO.

The coolest thing would be if each film had it's own standard bluray case with it's own artwork (wink wink, original D. Struzan posters for artwork). But if not, I already made my own slips just in case. I wonder if it'll be a digipack instead.

There's far too much information being presented at once, and in my opinion each of those designs just sends things into an artistic chaos. As for the "saga" cover, I feel there's a nice idea behind it, but making it look like a painting just feels "cheap" to me. I mean, the Tatooine sky looked awesome in the prequels; you'd think they'd do something like that for the artwork.

AT the end of the day though, I think for most of us it's all about whats inside that counts as apposed to what the boxes actually look like. I'd be extremely pistoff if they spent more time and money doing surveys and design time on the box art then video and audio treatment.

How often do most of us sit down and watch the box art anyway?

Just because you or anyone feel it's crap doesn't make it so.
I think Box art IS a big deal, and it seems that some of you here agree! I too am overall disappointed in the box art, though I do like the Vader OT box for some reason. I like to display my BD's, with the Battlestar Galactica, Planet of the Apes and the Watchmen Nite Owl Amazon Exclusive being curently the center's of my collection. I was HOPING Star Wars would top them all, but short of a Best Buy or Target exclusive, it seems like we will have to settle for what we see here (anyone want me to post the pictures again

They don't bother me, I enjoy watching the movies not the box they come in (I know I am weird that way, go figure) but everyone is different

I'm very nitpicky when it comes to box art, I love graphic design, I think set 1 & 2 are awesome, but I'm not digging the saga box

Loving the Complete Saga artwork. It fits the movies perfectly. And it's nice to see something fresh.

In love with the original trilogy set.

Not sure about the prequel boxset (I like Yoda, but not that much)...

HATE the complete set.

This is how I feel I love the two trilogy set box arts the prequel one as my favorite since it has Yoda on the front but I am not liking the complete Saga art that much. If it were not for losing some special feature I would buy them both separately

This is exactly how I feel. I like the cover art of the separate trilogy box sets more, but I want the features included on the six film set. IMHO the cover art for the complete saga is awful. It's like a mixture of Episode I and IV, which is pointless because there are four other films in the saga.

I hate the saga boxart but love the two seperately. Preordered on day one so I doubt I'm going to cancel over the boxart but it's pretty freaking brutal.

The 2 trilogy sets are way too busy with all of the little things going on all over the place (but I like Yoda and Vader images that are front & center). The complete saga artwork is very underwhelming (but a nice touch). I would have preferred that they used it for the inside gatefold instead. Honestly, I think the simple placeholder artwork was better.

Maybe they should add an asterisk to the box: "not to be confused with toilet paper." It is just beyond ugly.
