Yes, the "...and more" features are certainly things we have already seen before. Just like the vast majority of the features offered in the sets. Way to go out on a limb there... If one is to say "all will be revealed" but then doesn't reveal everything, then you aren't necassarily revealing all. Words have meanings.

Anyway, I am not upset with what was given yesterday. I didn't get want I wanted which was video of the actual films (I know I wasn't the only one who was hoping for that). Video of TPM in particular and maybe a quick glimpse of Vader's lightsaber in Empire to confirm what that they have color corrected everything and TPM is finally lookin' as good as it did in 1999 would have been great. I am not buying the set for the cover art or special features, I sorta of think how the films look and sound are more important.

However, I will add your request for the PT music videos in my letter to Santa George.

One thing I think would actually be NECESSARY to 'change' for the inevitable 'new' SE for the Blu-Ray:

At 0:20 you see a scene from RotJ. It shows Han and Lando talking in front of a PAINTING. Obviously this isn't a bad thing considering the time the movie came out, but this is something that will pop out even more with a good HD transfer that the Blu-Rays will give us.

I also hope the Death Star plan sequence will get better graphics, ala Adywan's ANH Revisited.

It's not going to pop out any more in HD than it did on a big screen in a theater.

Why does everyone feel like anything that doesn't look like it was made yesterday needs to get a make-over? Personally, I look at that shot and think, "It's amazing what they were able to achieve before CGI." Appreciate it and embrace it.

I love the cover arts! Feel like I'm buying all three!

I'm really disappointed with the extras on disc 9. Do we really need an 84 minute documentary on the 501st? Or 91 minutes of spoofs? To me that's almost three hours wasted, 5-10 minutes each on those would have been sufficient. Where's "Empire of Dreams" from the previous DVD release? Where's "From Star Wars to Jedi" from the VHS collector's edition? Hell, I wouldn't mind seeing the Christmas Special on there. If it were cheaper to get the two trilogy sets than the complete set I'd switch my preorder to those as disc 9 is looking fairly worthless to me.

Unhappy yikes

what annoys me the most about the cover art is the Blu banner is inclined... Very odd being that the other two sets have straight lines. I dunno, I think the cover art nailed the story, but it's just alright...

Default will 5.1 work?

I noticed it said they would be in 6.1 surround. But what if I have a 5.1 with 7.1 virtual surround blu ray system. Will it still work on my system? could someone please help me with this?

If they were 5-10 minutes, people would be complaining that they should've been 91 minutes.

That slight angle on each side of the top banner really annoys you the most?

The 501st Documentary should be pretty interesting. I hope they cover R2-KT.
It's a real heartwarming story. And I can see it being a part of the documentary.
Lucas has shown in the past to really appreciate the charity work and such they do.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/R2-KT

As for the Spoofs thing. He's also a pretty big fan of the parody stuff that others have done of Star Wars. Even letting them use the sound effects from the films in them. See Fanboys, Robot Chicken, and Family Guy. Given his close association with them, it's kinda cool to see them spotlight how massive Star Wars is in the pop culture lexicon. Plus it's got the Weird Al "Saga Begins" video, which is just great.

By the way, you do realize the "From Star Wars To Jedi" documentary is just a cut down version of the three individual ones.

Yes, it will play just fine. You can play a 7.1 disc on a 5.1 system, and it just folds the extra channels down to 5.1. You can play a 5.1 disc on a 7.1 system with PLIIx on, and it will extrapolate the two extra channels from it.
On a 5.1 setup, the extra 6.1 channel will be summed to the two rears, on a 7.1 setup, the two rear surrounds will be mono.

I actually would have preferred From Star Wars to Jedi,Empire of Dreams, and The Beginning over a documentary on fans. The archives discs really haven't been detailed, so some of the old DVD content could make it on there or could simply be redundant with the "supplemental interviews" on those two discs.

Beast,

By the way, you do realize the "From Star Wars To Jedi" documentary is just a cut down version of the three individual ones.

Is that true?

I only ask because I finally watched it today and I don't understand what the big deal was about the documentary. I don't think Lucas contradicted himself one bit throughout the documentary like a lot of Trilogy fans suggest.
