No information/images have been released regarding the packaging other than the front art for the three releases so it's unknown what it will be.

Go back several pages to the posts made beginning May 4th and you will see all the people who agree with you. And all the people who don't.

I don’t care for any of the packaging really but yes the individuals are 100 times better than the box set. Of course I have no idea why they are releasing these separately anyway. As long as George Lucas decides to keep Hayden Christensen in ROTJ you might as well buy all of them. I mean really what is the purpose of separate releases if he is tying them together (HC in ROTJ, Fettes voice)? Most people that only want the OT either want things unaltered or just special effects touched up. Most people that love the prequels want all six with as many changes as possible to the OT.

If I get the discs on a carton box...or a fedex box. I'd be happy. I could care less about packaging. I'm older than most and i've seen many, many different packaging...thats not what makes a movie. Individual or not. doesn't matter either..

Don't get your hopes up. I would be surprised if the magazine revealed any new details. I could be wrong. But in the past, whenever the magazine "revealed" details about upcoming DVD releases, the details basically regurgitated what had already been revealed to the online community. I'd welcome being proved wrong in my assumption.

I am starting an I only like full-blown Blu-Ray cases and hate box-sets... but really want to know what is inside as I have not seen those pictures yet...

Thanks in advance...
The way the box closes for the complete Saga I would speculate a Digibook in a slipcase over a Digipak gatefold package in a slipcase, the gatefold would offer more artwork over a Digibook. I would prefer separate cases like the DVD's in a double slipcase that way the films can be displayed separately and the box can be put out of harms way, Or out of my way at least, I always seem to drop the more delicate boxes!

I'm sure we'll see some exclusives as well.

Pretty much, I enjoy Star Wars Insider but one as to look at it as the official party newspaper Nothing it it will be different then what is being allowed to be said about Star Wars

Yeah, we've never evAr seen two of the same type of ship in Star Wars before. It's getting all worked up over minutiae like this that makes Trekkies scorned so bad and raped childhood SW fanboys so much worse.

Beginning of TPM: hit the ground running... slows down a bit from leaving Naboo until coming back for the Duel of the Fates. Jedi chopping down droids, etc is great but nothing else compares to the Duel of the Fates, which is the signature moment of TPM.

AOTC: Mace Windu putting the lightsaber to Jango throat's for some dialogue with Dooku through the battle scene and Wizard Duel and all that.

ROTS: Order 66. The Obi/Ani Duel should have surpassed the Duel of the Fates, but was a bit of a let down to me personally. The movie is packed with good stuff but ends on a bit of a disappointing thud.

ANH: bit of a yawner in retrospect, but the space battle of Yavin, especially with the SE footage

TESB: Definitely Luke vs Vader on Cloud City

RotJ: Death Star 2 Duel and Battle of Endor

1) Two appearances of the same model.
2) That belong to the same family.
3) In a movie meant to bridge two trilogies.
4) When every external source including the creator has said they're the same ship, not just model.

For those who have been speculating about whether the separate trilogy releases include 3 or 4 discs we may now have some indication. Local (Australian) retailers have been provided preliminary art. As you can see from the trilogy releases each show that they are 3 disc sets:

Although this is not concrete confirmation it's doubtful the actual disc contents would vary internationally other than language options so given this it's highly likely that the US trilogy releases will have three discs. Naturally wait for confirmation but these are the first Fox released images which give us an indication of the fact that they will lack any of the features other than those included on the actual film discs (commentaries etc).

2) It's entirely possible that over the 20 years Obi-Wan was in retreat on Tatooine he learned something about the Force that changed his belief about it. Many, many people change their beliefs during the course of their lives. Perhaps Obi-Wan came to believe that midichlorians, while existing in the physical body, had very little to do with a person's ability to use the Force. And lastly...

3) At the end of the day, knowledge of midichlorians makes no difference to Luke. Just like him being too old to start training makes no difference. To Obi-Wan, Luke is their last hope at destroying Vader. Obi-Wan's not going to hinge his last hope on Luke's midichlorian count (or Luke's knowledge of midichlorians) any more than he does Luke's age.
Good post!

Hmm, I think most people are going to get "The Complete Saga" then.

Who would just want half a movie anyway?

What I can't figure out is why there would be separate releases for these two trilogies. If George’s goal is to make everyone forget about the OT in it's original incarnation then why would he bother? Most of your hard core OT fans don’t like any changes at all, some like only effects changes and a general cleaning up of the prints and remastering. If he is intent on tying these two together and adding even more then why keep them separate? My guess is that anyone that loves the PT also likes the OT and wants them all to be one film watched in order. I believe that is what Lucas wants no?

OT fans are not getting what they want or even close to it and I don’t know many if any that would buy just the OT with all the PT actors/voices/ creatures etc. inserted into the OT. Seems to me Lucas is just trying to throw gasoline on the fire to stir things up. He should just say here are the six films in one package; this is the vision I had in 1977 and this is what I want and what you are going to get.

I just can't see the OT with all the changes to include PT stuff selling very much at all....

Just call me confused………
