Oh God, here's hoping that people who've just now for the first time read this ^^ silliness don't take the bait and argue with you.

Those names don't ring a bell.

If the pictures on the discs actually had Luke, Leia, and Han on them, he'd probably be praising them as being great choices instead of complaing about them because (in that scenario) it would be the Lucas-Approved™ decision.

You sure this is the UK release? Seems to be missing the lovely UK ratings on the box and discs that are the main reason that I buy basically all my blu-rays from the US...

That has been posted, and it was found on the Amazon.co.uk website, which is why we are led to believe it's the UK version.

It also seems that UK versions always use plastic cases when the US versions don't. The box we saw at the Blu Ray event did not have any blue plastic showing. It's was more like the US Alien or Kubrick set.

Many apologies. I must have missed it.

I'm not a fan of the US Alien packaging. I'd MUCH rather have this one.

Me too. The choices are very unbelievable, and I would be very surprised if those were the official versions. They look like a fake to me.
i originally thought they were fake but looking closer at the discs they have had the exact same "painted" treatment the images on the official covers have. And surely a fan would have picked better characters choices for the discs.

It has been reported that there may be some changes made but there haven't been any official details confirming or denying this.

Apart from having the Unaltered trilogy in this set, which i know isn't happening, the one thing that I'm preying for is that they have decided NOT to use the 2004 transfer and have started from scratch with a new higher quality transfer. The 2004 transfer was only scanned in 1080p as George thought this was good enough at the time, which solely for a DVD release was fine. If we get a new transfer and the colour timing is returned to how it always looked pre-2004 then i will be pretty happy with the blu-ray set. It's not too much to ask for really .

Hahaha...that's awesomely true. Lando gets a disc but Luke and Leia don't? So stupid.

I'm gonna go out on limb here and guess that the 6 discs from the two 3-packs have different disc art. These random choices make a lot more sense if there are 6 more opportunities for characters like Luke, Leia, Han, Darth Maul etc. to be used.

Too bad the box itself is not a place holder. It looks too "soft" for a Star Wars box, I think the BOX along the lines of the 2004 DVD Release looks so much better.

I'm waiting for it. Wouldn't surprise me to see those Cantina creatures and Jabba palace monsters "spruced up a bit", either.
