I think you're right... I want all the additional footage that goes with the whole set but the only "performance" I'm looking for out of the I, II, and III BDs is how quickly they'll go through my woodchipper.

I saw it when I was 15, and it was amazing to me then, even though I knew Jar Jar was a bit over the top. All the CGI looked so amazing at the time, and the Darth Maul fight at the end was tear inducing (at the time).

Unfortunately when I go to watch it now, I get disgusted about 30 minutes in. I'm really hoping seeing it in 1080p will respark that magic for me.

That seems like a waste of money, but what ever makes you happy

I have been looking at the picture of the Box and its contents and trying to figure out whether the UK box with the digipak wil hold one or two discs on each slide.

I think it is one disc per slide but that seems a bit of a waste of space doing that. From the pictures it sort of looks like the inside of the Ultimate Superman DVD box, bearing the question why can't we have a nice outer tin like that?

Also its incredibly annoying that Family Guy has the proper covers and the actual Star Wars films don't!

Man, I can't wait to see Phantom Menace on Blu. The DVD is just so haggard.

Yes, I totally agree with you on the artwork on the discs, They have not given the artwork a lot of thought this time around.

I am not to crazy about the artwork for outer box either, "Ah well just have to accept it."

We've seen that many pages ago. That's not US release, let's just hope we'll have different disc arts. US set:

Seeing them in High Quality images, I have to say that the art style works better for the individual boxsets than the complete Saga...

Sure, the artwork of the Complete Saga looks better from afar than up close... but the choice of the image itself couldn't be better in my mind. Tatooine is the central planet in both trilogies and Anakin leaving home and Luke returning sums up the whole saga...

Oh yes. I really hope we will get more suitable disc artwork for the U.S release.
I still can't believe that artwork is official, as it doesn't make sense to me at all.

I totally agree with you.

Only s months left to go!
This is going to be so epic, but I am trying to dampen my expectations.
I am a realist, and don't expect the ultimate set that will completely satisfy me.
I am just going to enjoy the movies in the best quality available.
Only if there is something seriously wrong with the presentation, will I get upset.
Nothing is perfect, although I hope this set will be.

I just hope the US-BluRays are codefree. I'd love to have the original film-titles on the sides for a change and not these terrible german translations... I've heard that Fox has decided to produce just codefree BluRays in the future. I'm keeping my hopes up!

On a different note - the FSK that rates movies here in germany has tested some more material from the upcoming Blu-Ray Set:
Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope (Blu Ray Version) (New Edition) 125 Minutes (24 fps)
Star Wars Episode II - Attack Of The Clones (Blu Ray Version) 142 Minutes (24 fps)

Movies that are released again on a new medium are only reviewed by the FSK if they are indeed altered versions or different cuts. LotR for example has not been reviewed again for it's Blu-Ray outing...

Furthermore on Disc 7 there is something called "Boba Fett: First Look" (8:39 Minutes)
That's the Boba Fett-Cartoon from the Holiday-Special I think...

The Holiday Special cartoon is over 9 minutes long so it's more likely the feature that was first shown over at StarWars.com ages ago, albeit a longer version:

Also submitted were Episodes IV-VI extended scenes parts one and two which are 27m48s and 19m33s respectively and extended scenes for the prequels running in at 46m10s.

The bulk of the unknown stuff though seems to be hidden in The Collections which there are six of (one for each film).

Next week I believe their could be lots of news reports about the remaining special features on discs 7 and 8 of the blu-ray box set at comic con. Like for instance which cut and extended scenes we will get on the blu-ray's and also how many of those short documentaries will be in the set and also will the trailers and tv sports be on the discs as well? Soon or later we all will find out where going to find out what is on disc 7 and 8 on the blu-ray box set.
