Doesn't the swapping of Annakin at the end of ROTJ suggest Lucas wants you to watch it 1-6?

Is anyone else tempted to buy all three sets? I love the cover art of the individual trilogies, but it might be a waste of money. I would probably not even open them, just keep them wrapped and pristine.

I hope George Lucas doesn't make another set for the 3D releases anytime soon - I'll have to start saving up for those too! LOL.

I am not sure yet but I may do that. I collect Star Wars things and I have my VHS sets still and I will keep my DVD sets as well. I am still not decided but I might later this year once the prices go down I will probably get the other two sets.

That would be crazy and a waste of money. Why don't you give your money to starving kids instead? You'll feel much better after.

But it's Star Wars! Gotta have it all, even if things overlap. I've been waiting so long for this release. I don't care what the whiners say about the video quality or fluffy documentaries.

1080p SW is like the moon landing. It's only going to happen once - might as well make the most of it!

Yeah, once every ten minuets. This has to be one of the most re-released franchises in history.

I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon ran a $20 lighting deal on it for the week of Black Friday, but $40 is good enough for me. $13.33 a film feels just about right.

I'd pay a full $100 for an UOT though, and not for some laser disk ported BS either, but a full OT restoration on bluray--oh yes I would!

Thinking of getting both sets to avoid the cover art of the complete saga.

I spent $235 on the laserdisc boxed set back in the day. So CLEARLY George could get me to spend a lot more on that set.

The saga will definitely get cheaper than $89.99 by 9/19. Might go as low as $69.99. That happened with LOTR EE BD.

was thinking the same thing but the complete saga comes with all the extras...the two separate sets don't come with it correct?

As much as the completist in me is doing this...
[Show spoiler]

I can't see spending the extra money for the other 3 prequals that I know I will not revisit and don't much care for. I will just be missing out on the bonus discs. But it looks like a lot of it is rehash or featurettes that border on nonsensical filler (Star Warriors). A Conversation with the Masters: The Empire Strikes Back 30 Years Later (2010, Color, Apx. 25 Minutes) is the only one of note that I would like.

So I'm gonna stick with the Original Trilogy I think and put that extra money towards another box set...like Jurassic Park!!

I agree with Boone on this one. The individual sets contain nothing that is not included with the complete set (except different packaging/cover art), so it would be a complete waste of money to buy all the sets.

The one thing you do get by buying separate trilogies is an actual BD case and not the book style packaging of the whole saga. For some people that's a nicety.

One copy of TPM and Jedi was hard enough to justify.
