Apparently Obi-Wan's scream to scare off the rangers has been changed again, to reflect a more human like sound. This is good, and of course, indicates other changes, but the article indicates it might be for the 3D editions. I am sure nothing will be skimped over on those releases. I just hope we don't get a 3D only release in the future with the fixes. 3D still hurts my eyes.

I would actually say this is far from good if you are one of those that have heard the new howl in the Sounds Of Star Wars book.

To break down their strengths I'd say Maul was a better swordsman, while dooku was a better force user. Not to say that Maul was a bad force user as he was able to push Obi-Wan around easily.

Maul is the Boba Fett of the PT he is enigmatic and that made him cool and memorable, the only thing that makes Dooku memorable is that Christopher Lee played him.

Doesn't change the fact that Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan vs Maul is the best lightsaber fight in the saga though. I cant wait to see and hear that on Bluray
The problem with your take on things is that when you have two evenly matched lightsaber fighters, the outcome of the fight is often determined by your power in the force.

Doesn't do you any good to jump up and down and twirl your lightsaber if you can't say stop someone like Vader from choking the life out of you, or block a rock a jedi uses his mind to hurl at you while fighting.

And for a Sith Lord to lose to a jedi padawan is insulting to the Sith, and therefore Maul is by far the weakest.

because theaters are a much bigger deal than a direct to home release.

That's what I've been afraid of regarding everything about this Blu Ray release. Any meaningful changes are being saved for the 3D rereleases. As much as some fans like to cry artistic integrity, the bottom line for Lucasfilm is maximizing profits. These films were designed first and foremost to make money. Not that there is anything wrong with that, mind you. But should the problems that plagued the 2004 DVDs not be fixed, no amount of spin is going to justify the flagrant cash grab this release was intended to be.

Why? 2 Months ago people were saying the same thing about this release. What track record has he given us? I am sorry I have no confidence in Lucas to release a set the right way. Maybe someday he will go to Ridley Scott or Steven Spielberg class and look at a Blade Runner or CEOTTK Set. Until then...here's hoping!

Hard to call it a flagrant cash grab with the price so cheap. If it was $199.99 I would maybe agree with you. At $89.99 or probably less, it's a very reasonable price for the greatest Saga ever on the best format ever.

You can always just not buy it you know.

Actually I think we should be paying more. And getting less. This doesn't feel right, we are not worthy of this gift.

I like The Phantom Menace and nowhere in this thread will you find me having said anything negative about it. I too think it will do very well when it's released.

It's easy to be "creative" with other people's work. It's a whole 'nother thing to create original artwork, and another to criticize it.
Yeah, and that "existing" artwork looks a lot better than the artwork that we are getting in the official packaging IMO. I'm definitely going to be printing up some custom covers. I may even make a box-set-slip box for it.

So for $4 you are going to completely miss out on the bonus features? If that's what you want to do, go for it. I'll pay the extra few bucks and get the extras.

No need to buy the seprate trilogies ... MANY websites do high res scan of official art and upload it ... buy the Complete Saga ... download the seprate trilogy cover art and the find a custom art for only the bonus features ... I'm sorry but as a fanatic the bonus features are worth way more than $4 to me, espicially 45 deleted or extended sceenes!!!!
