So please enough of the GL bashing it gets tiresome after a while.
I have grown up watching Star Wars and I love the OT and really like ROTS, TPM was ew ok and the AOTC was a joke! What gets me is how many times GL has contradicted himself over the years, he thinks us fans are stupid and don't remember what he said in the past. I remember when he stated the OT was about Luke and his rise to become a Jedi and hero, the only reason why he changed his mind to Vader was because it was his cash cow. That was a insult to every kid who watched the movies when they first came out. Don't say that we should stop bashing GL he deserves everything he gets.

No he does not some fans just bash him for no reason. Just to get their name quoted in a article on some blogs on the net.

Thanks for the info...i'm not a die hard fan and probably not watch the extras or deleted scenes...maybe the docs. but the complete saga sounds like a much nicer case...almost like the alien anthology book...i'll have to check out what docs are on it and decied if that and the nicer case is worth 10 bucks more...this will be my first actual watching of these movies...seen bits and pieces when i was younger probably seen all of it just never at once...not much of a sci-fi guy but figure what better way to watch it for the first time than on bluray...

Agreed. Lucas doesn't get respect from people who owe him a great deal for their enjoyment of the movies. If you ask me the prequels, under Lucas' definitive creative control, tell a more visually appealing, interesting story than the OT. There are so many characters and details in the prequels, I can't even keep track LOL. Each time I watch those movies I discover something new.

People loving taking credit from Lucas and giving it to Gary Kurtz, Marcia Lucas, Irvin Kershner, etc., but George is the one that created SW and brought all those people together. Without his vision and executive decisions those other people wouldn't have known what to do. Lucas' storytelling improved enough during the years that he didn't need anybody helping out for the prequels - he knew and planned exactly what he wanted to do, and it worked out brilliantly.

Someone has gone to the dark side, and then redeemed himself, or is it the other way around? Depends on your point of view of course.

I was at Target today and they already had a full set of all 6 of these out. They look really cool but at $24.99 apiece I passed. You're looking at $150 plus tax for a full set of all 6!

Did whoever's responsible for the characters on the disc art also pick the characters in these sets?! A bunch of Clone Troopers and Storm Troopers but no C3PO and no Palpatine/Emperor. I mean sure, they were only in 6 and 5 of the films respectively.

For those interested in Star Wars. Here´s an interesting "Moviefone Unscripted" video of Hayden Christensen interviewing George Lucas and vice versa... it´s something to shorten the waiting time for the BDs. Enjoy!

It's actually $10 cheaper to buy the Complete Saga and get all of the extras.

Complete Saga - $100
Individual Trilogies - $55 each ($110 for both)

So your paying less money for more content and IMO less desirable packaging (although many others disagree ) I will be buying the complete saga nonetheless. I want all of the extras!

I dunno what prices you are quoting but on this site amazon.com is pretty much the standard for prices unless otherwise specified. The two trilogies are 39.99 and the Saga is 89.99

In Canada the prices remain at $100/$110...

Ah ... I just caught that you were in canada, the US prices on Amazon are much lower!

I say that because blu-ray.com list amazon prices as the price of blu's, every now and then there is a best buy price listed on the page for an individual blu. If you click on deals it will list all the deals at amazon.com. So since blu-ray.com list amazon prices as the price for all the blu-rays on this site... I'd call that a standard

And I just remembered that this isn't the Canadian forum XD

I do so much of my posting there, this thread is pretty much the only non-Canadian thread I'm posting in atm... lol

I apologize for the snarky reply, I didn't realize that the prices were lower even in American best buys and wal-marts.

Hmph! I hope Canada gets this price drop as well

I am one of those who shop locally, have only bought one item from amazon ever, a replica of a book long out of print cuz they were the only ones who did that.
