I assume there will be re-releases of The Star Wars Blu-Rays in the future with new content.

I think that there might even be enough fan complaints for Lucasfilm to re-issue the Individual Trilogy Sets with the Bonus Features Discs.

This period of the Star Wars Blu-Ray thread will forever be remembered as "the useless era"

Lol! Really great job!

BIG THANKS TO KEN FOR POSTING LUCASFILM'S REPLY.

This sounds very promising, but ultimately not surprising, as they can't very well release the movies in 3-D with those shoddy lightsaber issues....

I would delete the post with your personal e-mail address if I were you.

People who don't believe you, won't believe you, no matter what, and people like me, who know you long enough, understand that you tel the truth.

It's truly disgusting what's been going on in this thread lately, and some of you guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

At least Cowboy got suspended again. , or so it seems.

I have got some of my hopes back, although blindly trusting a PR e-mail response probably isn't the safest bet, but we will see for ourselves soon enough, and the statement appears to be sound enough.

I, for one, am extremely excited to experience SW in BD!!!!!!!

My thoughts on the deleted scenes I like them including the wampa attack from ESB and the other ones as well. I just wished that LFL would have cleaned up the deleted scenes a little bit more but just seeing them in the teaser video on the official Star Wars site was a good to see.

Just thought of a colour change I would quite rather like on The Phantom Menace. When Sidious is talking to Darth Maul on the balconey, his neck is skin coloured, when it should be (and is seen in either the trailer or the music video) as black.

It shows Luke throwing the grappling hook and missing, and is a moment which has taken on near-mythical status amongst TRUE Star Wars nerds. I tell thee what, if that's legit then it clearly shows that two different takes weren't used, i.e. the 'miss' was simply conjured up through editing. Not that that diminishes people's fond memories of it or anything, just that it's an obvious trick and the scene plays better with the single throw.

I decided to cancel my pre-order on this and not get ANY of the releases. For me, this would be something I watch once and then it would sit on my shelf for years collecting dust. Abd honestly, the only reason I would have bought it would be because it was a new release, the big "hot item", and because everyone will have it so I wanted it too!

So, I may just be one of like, 10 people to not own this set

It will be neat though to see how much it sells and how long it stays #1 for sales!

Hopefully to all of you buying it, you enjoy the hell out of it and it's been worth the wait

One slight error of course LimeiBook86 is that the individual trilogies do not have any bonus discs on Blu-ray it's the complete set which has the three bonus discs.

Although it's still baffling why Lucasfilm choose to do this, it may make sense from a business side of things but for customers who may be only to afford one set at a time it's a disappointment to miss out on special features.
Hello Chip75. At the time I made the video there were reports that the Blu-Ray of the separate trilogies were only excluding one of the bonus discs. I pre-ordered the Saga set, so I wasn't really paying attention to the individual sets.

I also forgot to mention the Behind the Dome DVD I have (fun for a watch but not much replay value) and my imported Episode 1: The Phantom Menace LaserDisc - which has outstanding picture quality!

nmycon haha wow, small world huh? Also I don't think 10 minutes of Empire was cut off on the LD set, I think it was more like 6-10 seconds. You don't see Liea push the lever on the Falcon. I reviewed my set which was effected. Apparently the 2nd re-issue of the set doesn't have the stars on the LD jackets, the glue is better on the box set sleeves, and I they have different mint marks (#s) on the disc.

This is one of my pet peeves: we'll never really know how well it sells.

We'll know if it sells 'a lot' and we'll know how it sells relative to other titles but the actual numbers of tickets sold in theaters or units sold at home are apparently state secrets of some sort.

I own different versions of the star wars films going back as far as 1987. My 1st version I got was return of the jedi via a rental but it got lost when the VHS player got sent back and the tape of ROTJ was in the player. But since then I've gotten different versions of the film on VHS. The ones I have on VHS are the ones that came out in 1990 of star wars and the empire strikes back from CBS fox video and The Star Wars Trilogy THX Faces Versions in 1995 the full screen set , The Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition both the gold box the full screen version and the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition Special Collectors Edition Widescreen VHS in the Sliver Box Design with the making of the Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition in the set , the art book etc , Star Wars Episode 1 TPM both in full screen and widescreen collectors edition from 1999. Also I own all the DVD editions of the films in widescreen as well as the 2 ewoks films on dvd as well. Also I own robot chicken star wars on dvd and the family guy star wars trilogy on blu-ray. So that is my star wars home video collection so far. So I'm looking forward to the blu-ray box set of the star wars saga on September 16th.

I think he's been pretty clear that he will be very happy to see all 6 Star Wars movies in the complete boxset on Blu-Ray in full 1080P HD video and DTS HD Master Audio 6.1 on September 16.

All we know at the moment is that the German ratings board has receieved three lots of deleted/alternative scenes: parts one and two for the original trilogy clocking in at 27m48s and 19m33s resectively. And 46m10s for the prequels.

I'm unsure what the procedure is with the ratings board but with some bodies the deleted scenes from the prequels wouldn't need to be re-submitted unless they were new material other than what was on the DVD's. It's at least 90+ minutes at any rate (the rate been minutes and seconds lol)....
