Look...actual news.

"The ILM duo also revealed that some work was needed before the original trilogy was fit for Blu-ray, although fans will be happy that was confined to improving the picture quality, rather than fiddling with the films themselves: "The interesting thing about Star Wars and the Star Wars series of films is that they’ve been restored two or three times in the past decade, and so they were in pretty good shape to begin with," said Bill George.

"I do know that they went in and made some colour corrections on the lightsabers, because they were getting a little bit funky. But I don’t think they went in and did any pantyline removal, or anything like that."

As for the set, & I ordered the COMPLETE SAGA
[Show spoiler]from Barnes & Noble for JUST $46+ tax
& could really care less about colors of light sabers. I Know it'll LOOK Great & SOUND Spectacular. Not that I've Talked to anyone at ILM or LucasFilm, mind you, just a feeling I have.

I'm talking about stuff like the 3D spaceship viewer, lost scenes, and production/art stills. I won't be getting any of that with the classic trilogy box.

I don't care about anything that occurred in the SW universe prior to the Tantive IV getting captured by Vader's star destroyer, so the 501st can suck it!

???

It can?

The posts being deleted one after another or the banning of members doesn't really qualify as control. People will still post and talk. It's like living in a communist country in the 1950's. No one's allowed to publicly defame or insult their government; but that doesn't mean it isn't happening behind closed doors. In that regard, the type of control being lead here is merely an illusion. The internet in itself is lawless, and Blu-Ray.Com is merely a tip of its iceberg. Chaos rules these datastreams my friend. Chaos.

Call me crazy, but that's my two cents.

Thanks for sharing, I was doing a little more searching than 5 minutes and couldn't find anything at all. Still, a good find.

"o2"+"Star Wars"+"Blu-Ray"

Here's another report:

http://www.lg-bd640.com/star-wars-fa...html#more-3032

"Based on this morning’s preview, it looks like the original trio are the big beneficiaries of the HD remastering, with Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope looking particularly spectacular. While Phantom Menace, Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones all have a generic CGI sheen, the original looks refreshingly real and textured on BD. Fans are likely to explode with excitement when they see it."

That's impossible. How will the mods maintain control without the bureaucracy?
Fear will keep this forum in line. Fear of this moderator.

Just wanted to say goodbye to all those who have been cool with me. I've decided to leave this site because the Lucas bashing is still being allowed. I have preorded the set at the comic con and got the lithograph. I will enjoy the films. YES, the six of them and watch them...with Pink lightsabers or not. Or with new special effects or not. The packaging makes no difference to me anymore. I'm a real fan, I support Lucas. Those who do not like the changes and just want the UOT, don't buy the set. Those who like star wars (the storytelling) buy it and enjoy it. From what I've seen the set looks far superior to anything that's out there. This set is the reason I came here in the first place and the reason i'm leaving.

May the force be with you.

I'm not gonna sit here and have endless arguments with sycophants and bashers so I'll just say this: I ordered this set because it's the only blu-ray release on the horizon for the Star Wars films. There will be plenty to gain from such a set. I also have the fan versions of the originals to keep me happy if those blu's never surface.

I don't understand the endless dissection of these films. The more you pick apart a film, the less you will be able to enjoy it because you will always be reminded of every flaw from every version you've ever seen. Just watch and enjoy the HD image and sound.

But who hitted first, Anakin or Greedo ?

By the way, there was also a shot of Hoth in that trailer, odd that there aren't countless comparisons of that vs the 2004 DVD's. Hopefully the colour is restored to the orignal white (or closer to white at least).

Point in hand, this was posted by me on page 968, and got lost, reposted on page 974 by me and now is being treated as new. Far too many pointless arguments about nothing that the real news gets lost.

P.s. Does anyone bother to read forums anymore before they post?

How about a new topic (or an old one depending on how long you've been on this thread)...where the hell do you start once you buy the saga boxset?

I've been going back and forth on where to start. Apart of me wants to same a scene from each film first but that always ends with me watching the rest of the flick.

I really, really want to start with the deleted and extended scenes, especially the Prequels. I'm curious to see what new stuff is going to be on there that wasn't on the Prequel DVDs.

The Lucasfilm Archives sound like the jewel of the set so I'm tempted to start right there because it sounds like that part is the most comprehensive aspect of the boxset.

The archival commentaries sound interesting as well.

I just honestly don't know which disc I'm going to pop in first. I'm hoping once the reviews start coming, they'll give me a good indication of where to begin.
