If so, that's a fifth DVD you're going to need to hang on to.
Nowhere near that amount and am glad as I went the other way and am on a personal DVD replacement program! Have only 6 films left to convert to blu ray when they are eventually released! All my converted DVD's then go to charity.

So...unfortunately those 4 DVD special feature disc's do irk me somewhat!

I'm not bothered by the DVD content not being repeated on the blu-ray release. DVD and Blu may not be the same format, but they're both video discs and are playable on the same machine. Like Jumpman, I see them as companion pieces. When the saga blu hits, I'll be keeping it on the shelf next to my prequel DVDs and the 2004 bonus disc.

The OT DVD's Empire of Dreams doc was shot in HD, from what I've heard, and that would have been the only real worthwhile repeated extra, had it been added to the blu in HD. All the other docs from the prequels were most likely in SD, aside from perhaps the Revenge of the Sith DVD docs, but those were weak. "Within a Minute" would still be boring in HD.

Thankfully, the repeated extras that matter will be the deleted prequel scenes. Can't wait to see those in HD (fingers crossed that they are) and I hope the feature discs include the trailers in HD.

Who is gonna watch these starting on release day? We decided as a family to watch them right away - six straight days, six movies. Life is good!

Unless Warners steps up their game on catalog titles, and unless Disney replaces all of the Walt Disney Treasures and True Life Adventure sets, not to mention their Walt-era and 70's-80's era live action titles on Blu-Ray, I'm going to be hanging on to a considerable DVD collection for a very long time.

In the interests of completism though it would have been nice to have everything included in one place like Alien Anthology.

I see blu ray as the succesor to DVD and don't want to have to hold onto DVD's unecessarily. Especially when porting over all existing DVD special features onto blu ray has become the industry standard.

With the blu ray disc's extended size it's nice when they release a blu with the HD film and all SD content on one / two discs...especially when they include every special feature from all the double DVD dips over the years.

For those trying to keep their kids busy, why not a game of Where's Waldo? (Wally for the UK folks)

He's there, trust me:

Saw him almost immediately, and I usually suck at finding Waldo.

These are a walk in the park for me. I must have had 20 of the books when I was a child. I have attached the answer.

There's 989 pages, pretty sure it's okay if people don't read every one of them before posting.

I wonder how many pages could be deleted if all the posts pointing out that something has already been said were removed? Another 300?

Oh I wish that they would be sold separate. I loved the first three Star Wars films. The prequals were crap. They ad plot holes to the originals and it seems that technology worsens through time in another galaxy.
I do thing George Lucas is a very good filmmaker, but it would seem that he can't stop tinkering and ruin his own masterpiece. I got really pissed when, at the end of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, old Anikin's face was digitally replaced with young Anikin (Hayden Christiansen).
Steven Speilberg did go a bit nuts with the DVD release of E.T., when he digitally replaced the agents guns with walkie talkies, but at least, he had the good sense to also have the original for all of us to enjoy.
I'm guessing that if Lucas had directed JAWS, the DVD would have digitally replaced the shark with CGI. This would have rendered already powerful scenes with usless and unscarry nonsence.
I did love STAR WARS when they were first released. And I even liked them when they were re-released with new footage. But the DVD ruined it. I'm sure the Bluray will ruin it as well.

Wow, pessimistic much?

Anyway don't fret, they ARE being sold separately, you don't need to buy the prequels.

Sorry, I looked but I guess I missed it. I guess you've never posted anything that hasn't been repeated in this thread? Hmm... maybe we can discuss the pink lightsaber again; there weren't enough pages on that subject

Dude, obviously arguments about lightsaber weight, pink lightsabers, red engines, and infinite pre-release screengrab comparisons are superior to actual footage of the BD. It's like you've never been to a Star Wars thread before.
