They (seasons 1 and 2) have been on BD for years.

I think it actually does a fantastic job bridging the gap and making the "Clone Wars" seem like an event instead of a mere afterthought to the Anakin-Padme love story from AOTC and ROTS.

Do yourself a favor and watch "the Mordis trilogy" or "the Death Watch trilogy" from Season 3. Those trilogies are some of the best Star Wars available anywhere on any format.
My personal favorite is the Nightsisters arc, but Mortis is excellent as well.

Duh, forgot that one even though I was envisioning Dooku and Savage when I was typing.

Is Death Watch in Season 2?

Well I know season 3 (I think?) recently came out so it's clear they will do the whole series on Blu. I didn't want to buy season 1 and then they don't release the subsequent ones. It doesn't happen on current shows, just catalog stuff like the Sopranos, but I'm cautious.

I think 3 comes out soon. IMO it's the best season.

Season 3 had a few rusty beginning episodes because of their political nature and awkward chronological order. However, one cannot deny that the animation had significantly improved since Season 1 as well had the stories of the second half.

Season 1 was more of an experiment, an area where they were trying to figure out what direction this series would go and how it would work. As a result, you get some nice episodes like Rookies but rather kiddy and terrible ones like Bombad Jedi *shudders*.

Season 2 was where I think they found their ground and it was almost perfect in my eyes.

Those are great except for the German audio. It's nice to have some 1080p videos even though they are still compressed to death.

This video does a lot to explain Lucas' motivations for the special edition. I remember watching it every time I'd pop in the SE VHS.

Ditto, providing that they didn't mess with Rydstrom's mix and bring the quality down to the level of Episodes 3-6.

Exactly! In fact, I think those ones were the ones that got me into documentaries and making-ofs.

Do you think they are keeping an eye on pre-order numbers and marketing to that region accordingly?

Good to see Hoth without the blue, although Dack when he releases the cable looked VERY blue, much like the 2004 transfer. It looks like parts have been improved and others haven't.
