I'll be there in August. I'm sure the news will travel to the internet much faster than from me, but I can chime in when I'm back if I see/hear anything.

When does that Star Wars MMO come out? Is there a chance they might tie that in with the Blu Ray and include a PS3 demo or something?

I'm guessing you mean The Old Republic.

Well it's slated for spring next year and since it is only coming out on PC then there'll be no PS3 demo.

So I doubt there'll be any chance that it'll be released along with the Blu-ray box set, since the game is coming out in about April and the Blu-ray in October.

Hope this helps.

There aren't any PC games on Blu Ray yet? But yeah I guess that wouldn't work I just for some reason thought it was coming to PS3 and 360 also.

I just want Lucas to make the six films match. I don't want to watch the freaking - muppet - puppet - costume wookie - old man cane fight light saber show. NO MORE SESAME STREET!!!

Take the time to make the OT match ep. I-III! Fix yoda in ep. I,V & VI. Puppet Yoda does not look 800 years old he just looks like he was made in the eighties! He looks plastic and lacks detail.

Fix the sand peoples stupid buffalo-ram things on Tatooine! Fix the jerky walkers, Fix the stupid jerky motion ton-tons on in ep. V Fix the lame muppet ice monster! Fix the jerky bull thing Anakin rides in ep II. Fix the janky, clumbsy retro looking 70's service droids(they defy physics) Fix R2D2 in the OT, he looks so clunky and clumbsy!

Keep the dungeon monster in VI that was cool but fix the green Ork things in Jabbas palace, do something about the bar muppets in ep. IV(the little blue ardvark guy is a joke right?) The muppets simply lack detail!

The Ewoks can stay as is, fix the saber fights between Vader and Obi-wan in IV and between Luke and Vader in V & VI. Just cgi it in like they did with Dooku and Sidious. Give us flyover landscape shots of Hoth, Endor ect... Like in ep. I-III & at the end of VI.

Last but not least mute 99% of Jar Jars scenes or remove him completly... Then I will throw my money at you!

Anything else is welcome, and, much as I dislike the prequels, I would certainly buy a mega-ultimate-boxset with ALL permutations and all the extra features they can find and fit, no matter how mega could be the price for that...

But again, I insist, ONLY as long as the originals are provided in original form, and with the required care.

So, I guess my blu-ray purchase future will be STAR WARS-less...
I am totally with you, my man. I completely agree with your entire statement.

So what you are saying is that you're never going to buy any of these films unless Lucas remakes half of them?

Facepalm indeed.

I will buy any version released and be grateful that they have finally been released.

All versions are bound to be out at some point so I will not complain at what version Lucas decides to let us have first.

As far as the original trilogy goes, I like some of the alterations (IE: Vader's conversation with Palpatine in ESB), while others I do not (IE: Greedo shoots first in ANH). So, I'll actually need all versions. Of course, my guess is Lucas will continue to alter them all. I recall hearing something about Lucas completely redoing the duel between Vader & Obi-Wan in A New Hope. I also heard a rumor about a completely new scene where Vader is seen kneeling at Shmi's grave after the opening battle above Tatooine. This would be awesome, but it is rumor only.

As for the prequel trilogy, I hear they are being altered as well. I remember reading on the official Lucas website that they are in the process of adding General Grievous to Clones because Lucas felt that he appeared to abruptly in Sith.

On a side-note, with Crystal Skull releasing on BD, I thought we'd see the Jones trilogy by now.

Wow, I didn't know much of this and I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

Not sure about the changes in the OT, they sound more like a rumour started to get OT fans annoyed.

As for the changes in the prequels, they sound really good, and will probably fit better with Grevious being added into Attack of the Clones, not sure where he'd go though.

I don't care what edition gets be released, I'll just be grateful with what I've got, and since I quite like most of the changes and the way GL has joined the OT and the PT together much smoother, then I don't mind.
Although it is highly unlikey to happen anyway, the only change I won't tolerate is a CGI Yoda in Empire and Jedi. But since GL has said he won't ever do such a thing, then I'm not worried.

Whichever version is made available to me.

Of all the versions released so far, I prefer the 2004 version.

Maybe he'll appear during that meeting at the droid factory or toward the end where you see the Death Star plans on the screen?

I truly hope that is just a rumor because it would cause some serious damage to the continuity between the two trilogies.

I would buy the Ultimate box set.

I like the special edition sometimes, but other times I just want to watch it unaltered.

"So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause."

Anyway, I think there should be a half second flashback in Vaders mind of Shmi and/or Padme just before he grabs the emperor in ep VI.

Darth Maul should get more screen time in phantom, even if it's just observing him with no dialogue. Storytelling through striking imagery.*

Plus where are Windu and Qui-gons spirits at the end of Jedi? Both of them should glance at Anakin and give him the ol' stink eye while Obi-wan and Yoda smile at Luke... *

Qui-Gonn would have been a nice inclusion; but since Luke never met him or Windu, what would be the point of them appearing to him?

...Windu is a dik, anyway.
