Honestly, I'm still kinda pissed I missed out on Slumber Party Massacre II / III, as they've been virtually eradicated from the internet except for like 3 used copies on ebay.

I'd kill for one of those bad boys (but I wouldn't pay $150 to an ebay scalper lol).

I got lucky & grabbed that one a couple of months before it went OOP (along with the first movie) from Amazon. Its a shame to see so many BDs go OOP in a short period of time. This had taught me though not to wait super long anymore for SF releases, ill grab the ones I really want day 1 & others im only interested in within the first year of release.

Maybe they unearthed the OCNs for Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3....maybe even a clean uncut print of Teenage Wasteland.

...I also hope we get blu-rays of Return to Sleepaway Camp and The Survivor.

Just picked up Sleepaway Camp II & Motel Hell for $15.97 and Tentacles for $19.97 with free shipping from Screams website.

Bought Motel Hell bc someone posted there could be a second batch going oop soon. Plus I really should have picked up that classic years ago so even if its safe I still needed it lol

From what the person that posted the list a few pages back said - my interpretation is that some titles they haven't been able to or aren't going to renew (the list they provided) but others they're actively trying to renew. From that, it sounded like there could be quite a few more that could go OOP but they didn't want to say anything because they might be able to extend the license. On the flip side, maybe they can't. That's why I bought Pumpkinhead to be safe.

Regarding the Howling 2, I bought it after watching the first and really enjoying it. This was probably 6 months ago? Maybe a year? Still sitting there in the wrapper mostly because everyone talks about how terrible it is. Keep pushing it to the back of the to watch pile.

Are you close to the border? Maybe you could open a PO Box at the Post Office on the Stateside and have them shipped there? Pick them up once every few weeks, or monthly or whatever??

I doubt Lifeforce will go out of print permanently, but you should still pick it up immediately. The ultimate big budget B-movie, with space vampires, zombies, an awesome soundtrack, lots of gratuitous nudity...and Patrick Stewart! It's a great blind buy, and both Shout editions are loaded.

So a Shout "insider" pops up and says a bunch of stuff is going OOP, the Johnny-come-latelies panic and start buying them up even though they're not all on sale, which makes them go OOP faster? Brilliant marketing! Or shall I say strategy? Now we're going to have a bunch of people complaining that they should've been given a heads up sooner (it's already happening, actually) and lamenting that they shouldn't have penny-pinched and held out after all. Well, think of it this way: Your panic purchases are helping fund more Paramount acquisitions!

I have the Lifeforce steelbook in my cart on ebay with Creepshow and Day of the Day for around $60 with free shipping. I've never seen it before, but it sounds like it's right up my alley. Is it really worth a blind buy?

It was a blind buy for me based on my love of Hooper and the overall premise...and yes some screencaps I saw of Mathilda May. I did not regret my purchase at all. It is a wild ride though. Speaking of which, I am overdue for a re-watch.

Yeah Lifeforce was a blind buy for me as well. I had been hesitant due to all of the mixed things I'd heard about it but I flat out love it and it's my second favorite Hooper film after the original Texas Chainsaw. Goddess Mathilda May alone is worth the purchase IMHO!

Got an order in from WowHD for "The Brain That Wouldn't Die", it's not OOP but on the list of MGM titles that could go that way in the near future.

I'm sorry, but you're telling someone that they can't return a product to the store because you don't like it? You're saying you keep extra copies of a film just because it makes shipping more costly? But the amount of money you're spending on the extra copies cancels out this perceived "more costly" online shipping world? That's insane. You'd save more money returning the extra copies than you'd spend on any increasing costs.

Not to mention, all those retailers allow returns, so who are you to tell someone they can't return something?
