I guess if they don't come with the slips, we should contact cmac to get them directly from Shout assuming we send a proof of purchase of the first run BDs (Eureka do this in the UK so why not Shout)

Because I can't live without them.
I just spent almost 100$ in Shout Factory! releases, I sincerely hope they will ALL come with their slips!!!

They should arrive with the slipcovers. We are still manufacturing them with slips.
Sometimes we stop selling them with slips... like PIRANHA... but that was becuase the lenticular cover was expensive to make.

Yep, Warner Bros recently said they had no plans to release the Kabala cut and the film was recently reissued as MOD from WA.

I wonder if all the Friday announcements will be from the new MGM/Empire deal, or if we'll see some more Universal titles in there as well?

I'm just sayin, couple of months ago, Fangoria did an article on the restoration of that movie. They said it was for a DVD release, but i'm not sure if they said through whom...

I'm hoping it's Rawhead Rex which was 1986. I know Clive Barker hates the movie, but damn it I thought it was pretty good.

I understand the pros and cons for both the studio and the consumers when it comes to MOD but I've just never been a fan of the format. It's just a cheap excuse to take advantage of the minority of people who have longed for certain films only to pay a premium price for something that's burned to order. I just wish more of the majors would take a Twilight Time approach to titles and exclusively sell pressed DVD/Blu-ray editions through their website in limited numbers. Hell, even an indie label like Shout takes advantage of this practice via Shout Select for titles that even they feel might not sell as well as others. It just grinds my teeth to see the majors do this especially when you see so many independent labels that understand how to treat their customers with higher quality products these days.

Yeah. Target is carrying the DVDs. But they and Best Buy passed on the BLUs.

This is such a great time to be a horror fan and a movie collector.
We are not releasing FRIGHT NIGHT PART 2... sorry folks
