Considering Arrow were forced to lock their release of Big Trouble in Little China to region B (especially when the existing US Fox Blu release is region free) I wouldn't be surprised to see a re-release of this one from Shout.

According to Warner Archives on the subject of House IV & Alligator II, they lost one and were about to lose the other. This was last year.

The disc from Fox looks good, has a decent amount of extras, and is currently $5. IMO, SF shouldn't waste their time.

I don't see the point. The current U.S. disc looks and sounds great, has plenty of extras and is dirt, dirt cheap.

I'd rather have these home video companies focus on titles that don't already have good releases as opposed to an endless parade of the same handful of "safe" titles that get re-released as naseum over the years.

I mean seriously, do we really need another release of BTILC? Or The Fly?

Agreed. However, I'd be far from surprised if SF were to re-release this one.

Shout shouldn't waste their time with Army of Darkness. The market is flooded with 4 or 5 different editions, all of which are still easily available, plus there are various international versions, mostly region-free . But I do agree with you on "Big Trouble In Little China". It's been done

There hasn't been a good release of that one in America yet, so at least it sort of makes sense.

AOD is different, because the US hasn't received an edition yet (BD or DVD) with a good transfer of the director's cut.

Any word on a possible Summer of Fear sale? I'm really hoping they'll start something tomorrow, or at least sometime in the next 2 weeks

When asked about it at the beginning of the month, SF's response was something like "the summer is still young". It would be nice if they gave us some advance notice so people can have their funds ready.

Dark Delicacies in LA is having the director of Howling II sign the upcoming Blu-ray and cast signing for Robot Jox for those interested. I don't livein LA but order copies via their site, darkdel.com

Lionsgate now has Evil Dead II.

There are/were no plans for a summer of fear sale this year... If we're lucky we'll see a month long sale during October this year. They've gone back and fourth on the sales events the last few years. No summer sale opens the door for an October Sale/event.

Yep. We need to stop with this "Scream should release every genre movie ever so I can get a cool slipcover for it" stuff. The Fly and Big Trouble are last on my list of movies needed re-releases. Like literally dead last.

I've already got an awesome slipcover for Big Trouble in Little China, since I picked up the Special Edition Fox Blu-ray a few months back. The picture quality on this existing Blu-ray looks great to me.

I'm personally hoping for the "missing" Vincent Price MGM titles to be given a mention at Comic Con since it doesn't look like they'll be out this October (unless there is a surprise announcement sometime this week).
