Considering this is an anticipated announcement, I don't think we'll see any IFC titles, other than maybe HCIII.

About the only title that I can think of that we'll almost certainly see will be Carpenter's Village of the Damned.

I wonder how many double features we'll see announced.

Maybe we'll get Sssssss/The Boy Who Cried Werewolf?

PER FACEBOOK :
If you're heading to San Diego Comic Con in a couple of weeks, stop by our booth and say "Hi!"...and pick up some free SDCC exclusive Scream Factory buttons too (while supplies last). Artwork on this year's buttons tout The Sentinel, The Legacy, Shocker, Army of Darkness and Tales from the Crypt.
We also have a panel scheduled for Friday, July 10th @ 7:30PM PST where Scream Factory Senior Marketing Director Jeff Nelson will announce another upcoming TEN TITLES that are planned for the rest of 2015 and into 2016. Any guesses?
Check out more details on our blog for what's on sale early too and other Con-related activities.

I did bold TEN TITLES
MGM/UA:

Carrie (1976)
Lady in White (1988)

Fox:

Warning Sign (1985)
The Fly II (1988)

Universal:

The Car (1977)
Ghost Story (1981)
Village of the Damned (1995)
Cherry Falls (2000)
Session 9 (2001)
Slither (2006)

I'm hoping for some non MGM or Universal surprises, whether it be a small deal with another company, or a one off with an Independant like the Sleepaway Camps.

Who knows, maybe we'll get Dawn of the Dead, Martin and The Night Flyer?

During the recent KillerPOV podcast, SF said that they weren't interested in releasing Night Of The Living Dead unless Romero was involved.

What if that was another ruse like the Demon Knight denial and they got Romero involved in a "Dead Trilogy" boxset with NOTLD, Dawn (all of the cuts) and Day? It's possible.

to both films!

Since it's comic-con and no one has mentioned it recently, I'll be "That guy" that says... Phantasm Box set.

1) Phantasm
2) Phantasm 3
3) Phantasm 4
4) Phantasm: RaVager (There's one of those contemporary titles)
5) Village of the Damned (Collectors Edition)
6) Firestarter (Collectors Edition)
7) Terror in the Aisles (With Bonus features)
8) PontyPool
9) Raw Head Rex
10) Slither

Has anyone tried to play the trailer on the "From a Whisper to a Scream" disc? It doesn't play at all on mine, and status screen shows :46 seconds and stays stagnant with just a black screen. Most of the other extras seem to play, but the trailer is the only extra I really care about on most of these films.

I have only tried it on one player so far (Panasonic), but curious if this is a problem with all copies.

EDIT:

Just tried it in a Philips player and the trailer plays fine. But it won't play at all in the Panasonic. Still, good news as it's a pretty good red-band trailer.

Ten titles? Let's see, Ghost Story and Ssssss are good bets, as is The Fly II and even Prom Night II. I'm secretly hoping for 1985's Alien Predator on a standalone BD. Thinking about it more carefully, 10 titles really isn't much if they're counting from September on and into 2016. Figure 2 titles a month beginning in September, all of them would have to be fairly big titles and, particularly, titles that many people have been begging for and haven't received yet, for this announcement to register on most people's radar. A Phantasm set is likely given that the 5th and final installment was pretty much promised for 2015, and who else other than SF would be the best candidates?

The old Anchor Bay Dawn of the Dead release is pretty decent and the R1 Japanese release of NOTLD is supposed to be excellent (might order it this Friday), so I would actually prefer other announcements. I know a lot of people would disagree though.

The Japanese release is great (I own it) but the real appeal for me in such a set is the multiple cuts of Dawn.

I can see that. I didn't like either alternate cut, but if you're a mega-fan I can see wanting them really bad. I hope for other things but I won't be mad if that ends up happening.

the word going around is Phantasm + 3/4 are with Image, Rawhead Rex has some rights issues. Carrie is interesting, I see Criterion releasing it for some reason. They would spend the money to remaster and restore. The Night Flyer has some issues and Martin is with Lionsgate I think..

Virus and Slither would be A++ IMO

The trailer is encoded at 50hz, which is why some players will having trouble playing it.

Seriously? How does that happen on a Region A North American release?

I posted this on their Facebook page, and it has been getting a lot of likes. Plus apparently Vampire Lovers was a great seller for them!

What about a Blu release of Universal's Hammer Collection!? Universal can't even bother to do anything with their classic monster films (Another possibility!), I doubt they have plans for these.

It could include:

- Brides of Dracula (1960)
- Curse of the Werewolf (1961)
- Phantom of the Opera (1962)
- Paranoiac (1963)
- Kiss of the Vampire (1963)
- Nightmare (1964)
- Night Creatures (1962)
- Evil of Frankenstein (1964)

My other guesses/ hopefuls.

Phantasm Collection, The Thing, Bubba Ho-Tep, Village of the Damned (Remake), Vincent Price Vol. 3 (The Bat, Master of the World, Tower of London, Diary of a Madman, Cry of the Banshee, An Evening With Edgar Allen Poe), Alligator, Session 9, Slither, and I haven't seen it but I have a feeling Death Becomes Her will be one of the titles, for varieties sake.
