Starting with Starman, looks like their CE’s will be priced at $24 now.

Very interesting. Too bad the extended cut hasn't at least made it to DVD. Thank you for the info.

Yeah, I had that VHS. I wish I held on to it. Watching the Blu-ray is frustrating because I know what's been removed.

Been away from the boards for a while so just doing some catching up. Liking all the Scream/slasher talk going on here! One of my favourite genres and I have a soft spot for the 90s/00s since that’s when I grew up.

On another note pre-ordered Valentine ($37) and Poison Ivy ($60) on amazon.ca. Prices are stupid high but I really want them. Hoping there’s a price drop between now and then so I get an adjustment. Recently my collectors editions have dropped to around $25-30 by release date so fingers crossed!

Shout's Customer Service is Shit! That is why I do not order from them directly.
Sorry to hear about the bullshit that Shout is putting you through!

The Hitcher or Sorority House Massacre 2 (and/or Hard to Die) are probably the only movies that would get me to betray my boycot of Scream Factory.

Honestly, for what they put out, that's asking too much. Their encodes are not impressive, and sometimes not good at all. Add that to their larger size, it just doesn't make sense. Other boutique labels (much smaller ones, too) put in a lot more work into their releases and ask around $20-$25. When you look at those labels' products and their smaller size, that price makes sense. I become less drawn to SF every passing day.

Nice list, I’m only going to ask for probably crappy films across the Shout/Scream brands:
The Birds 2
amittyville sequels 4-whatever
Cruel Jaws (TV Movie)
Rear Window ‘98
Lawnmower man 2
Generation X (TV Movie)
Cyborg 2/Cyborg 3
Boy in the Plastic bubble (shout select)
The Substitute franchise pack
Universal Soldier DTV sequels
Most of these won’t happen but I only see Shout or Code Red hitting these up if anybody.

I'm not sure how I got it confused but I seem to have completely manufactured that memory. I watched it off of TCM Underground which is where I saw The Hidden (same director) so maybe that's where I'm getting the Warner Archive mix up from.

It's understandable. Fans of 1982's Alone In the Dark (myself included) are hoping it gets picked up by Shout for a Scream Factory Collector's Edition. I suppose if it gets a release from Warner Archive it's better than nothing but I'm beginning to not care about barebones releases and don't really see the point of buying them just to have it on disc. Getting spoiled by souped-up editions in slipcovers probably has something to do with it. I just feel like I'm closer to getting my money's worth if it's a Collector's Edition.

If this or Deadly Friend isn't forthcoming then that means their deal with Warner wasn't as important as I thought. Or as large.
