No, you are not. I actually prefer this artwork, mainly because of the alien. Love the look of the aliens in the film and wish we had seen more of them.

I sure hope so. I wouldn't feel safe walking the streets if there were much more.

Does Shout Factory still only charge pre-orders when the products are released?

This is correct and they have apparently added something about this new policy into the product description page of the deluxe edition.

Unreal that he remembered my name and took a moment to acknowledge me even though I wasn't anywhere near his table.

Here's another quick Atkins story: I am a teacher and in my office I have a lot of movie posters and pictures hanging up, including a still from Halloween III of Tom Atkins looking at the masks in the Halloween store. One of my 9th graders stopped by to pick up some work last year and immediately noticed the picture. Without missing a beat, the student said, "Hey, that's the guy from Lethal Weapon!" Yes, folks, there IS hope for the next generation :-)
That's awesome! Tom Atkins is such a wonderful character actor.

I hope to meet him again one day. As you said he was very enthusiastic and loved talking to the guests. I asked him "Are you weird?" and he enthusiastically replied "Yes, I am!" and chuckled. He was just really fun and seemed like a normal cool person.

As a huge fan of The Fog, that is so awesome to hear.

Sony doesn't let labels remaster titles, so unless Sony did it themselves recently this will be the same master.

Ok this is cool and weird at the same time. I was talking about Tom Atkins today and sharing a couple stories hoping he'd pop up at a convention near me again. And lo and behold I check on Facebook today and he was added to HorrorHound Cincinnati a couple days ago. So I will be seeing him again. Unfortunately this figure won't be released until May, but at least I can chat with this awesome guy again!

I'd love to get this figure and have him sign it, but I don't see him at any conventions around me, that was the first and only time since I've been going to cons, the past 9 years or so.

I met him at the H40 convention last year, and I agree, he's easily one of the nicest celebs I've ever met at a convention. I'll be at HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati as well, so I'll get the chance to meet him again as well.

I disagree. I really like the newly commissioned art and hope they don’t start making that exclusive to these deluxe editions.

Every time I think I'm done buying gimmicky releases, Scream Factory shows me up.

I ordered this without hesitation.

Another Ton Atkins story here. I met him at Horrorfind in 2005 and shared the news with him about Night of the Creeps being prepped for a DVD release. Being that NOTC is Atkins' favorite role of his, he was so "thrilled" to hear it was happening. Later that day, I past his booth and he called out my name(!) and told Charles Cyphers what a cool kid I was for talking about Night of the Creeps with him. Needless to say, that made my day. The stories are true, Atkins is genuinely the nicest person I've ever met at a con, right alongside Dee Wallace.

But barring a fluke sale this is one title I won't be picking up any time soon. At this point the Sony disc is fine for me.
I have no interest in the film; not really a favorite of mine, and I already own the Umbrella release (which I picked up for $2). I like the idea of a Tom Atkins figure, but I'm not paying $70 for it, so I guess I'm not getting one. That being said, if they made a Tom Atkins Season of the Witch figure, I might have to buy it regardless of the price.

I do like the announcement of the Hunted. I've been chasing a German mediabook of that for years. Now I can stop.

Eagerly waiting for Superstition and the Manitou to be available for pre order on Canadian Amazon. Strange that they've had the Brain listed for a while now (And stranger that the Brain still has a release date listed as June 30th).

I really need to commend SF for the wonderful work they did with Valentine, the transfer looks really stunning! They also upped their shipping game, the poster was in a capped tube and rolled nicely with a paper-wrap holding it together. Went to Target to grab a frame and framed that bad boy today, going to check out that bonus stuff tonight.

Does that mean the 2009 release of Night of the Creeps is at a lower price now?

I don't collect figures, hate the whole concept(except to use as Halloween decorations), but I pre-ordered this just because Tom Atkins. I honestly hope he is getting a percentage of the toy's sale!
