Does anyone know why there are currently no Scream Factory titles being sold on ImportCDs.com?

Was off to pre-order The Fog and Prince of Darkness only to see nothing there.

Both are there but you can't preorder it until ~30 days out.

ImportCDs won't let you pre-order titles until a few weeks in advance of release date.

I can find plenty of SF titles available on Importcds.com. Maybe it's just because the titles you look for have not been released yet?

It's not like Olive's releases are cheap either. Cheaper, yes, but they are still $20 and over and rarely drop much below that.

Plus, they are too cheap to include subtitles even though they don't charge budget prices, so I've never bought a release from them and likely never will. I know it's not a big deal to some, but I'll gladly give a little more money to a company that actually gives the extra effort to include something that should be standard on all Blu-rays.

I'm not trying to argue with you or anything. I'm just stating my opinion of Olive and why I'd be fine with Twilight Time releasing Pumpkinhead or whatever else.

I see that now. Apparently nothing shows up if you search under Movies and Blu-ray for a title and you have to do an All Products search.

I agree. You can usually get Olive titles for $15 at importcds but the shipping charges are very high which kinda kills it so you wind up paying like $20 give or take a dollar or two. That's how much criterion titles are during sales for Christ sake. How anyone here can honestly say Olive releasing Pumpkinhead is more ideal than TT is beyond me. They're both awful.

Olive really bug me though. I have only got a couple of their BD's because i was too impatient and felt I needed to just watch those ones in HD, but they have actually complained that it costs extra for subtitles and takes time. They churn out so many titles its insane. Kudos to them. But in all honesty, I think $20 should be their retail price, tops so we can get them at around $8-$10.

They charge criterion prices but give us what's generally an "okay" HD barebones movie without subtitles. That's just douchey in my opinion. I am really hoping rumours of them releasing Sion Sono's Guilty of Romance in its 144 minute Original cut actually happens though. If they give me that, I will slam my money down day one and accept my role as a hypocritical douche bag supporter

I wouldn't be too upset if Olive got something like Leviathan or Dolls, but man that would suck if TT did

$20 SF collector's edition w/custom artwork + poster + crapload of extras >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $20 barebones Olive release >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> $35 barebones TT release

I'm another one who suspects that TT and Scream aren't looking at the same MGM titles for possible release.

Olive: $20 after shipping at worst, extra features, no rush to get it
TT: $35, barebones, sells out in an hour (hope you're around if you want it)

It seems pretty simple how people can honestly say Olive releasing Pumpkinhead is more ideal than Twilight Time.

Both companies have the plus and negatives. In the long run it doesn't matter who release Pumpkin Head just as long as it finally comes out. Please for the love oh God I wish Scream would get it but hey beggars can't be choosers.

You know what I would relish? If Warner Bros. would put some of the titles they plan on putting on the MOD DVD program on 4 Film Favorites sets.
One that I would enjoy is the Werewolves Collection:
-Bad Moon
-Howling: New Moon Rising
-Silver Bullet
-Wolfen

Bad Movie!!

seriously though-- this movie was notorious for huge cuts by the MPAA to get a release.. would love to finally see an unrated version or at least the cut scenes as an extra feature...

The soundtrack alone was awesome. It wasn't an oscar caliber film but for entertainment value it's high on my list of faves.

You know I'm with you on Pumpkinhead, and am also very disappointed that Scream isn't putting it out.

If I had to pick between Twilight Time and Olive, I'd actually go with Twilight Time. Nothing against Olive (I'm happy with their releases I've got so far), but at least TT has been making an effort to port over prior extras...

Im in the perplexed they arent doing a Blu Ray of Pumpkinhead and a special edition of The Thing. They love Carpenter films and they cant get this one ( or wont ? ) I guess Universal will do what theyve been doing with it, re-releasing it over and over.
