Believe it or not, but Steel has a lower user rating at IMDB than either one of those. And Steel is not even in the bottom 100.

According to IMDB, Steven Spielberg was originally interested in directing.

Shoot me, but I really like Blade Trinity and DD (moreso the DC).
+1... catwoman just plain sucks...

well, you obviously haven't seen Nick Fury: Agent of Shield with David Hasselhoff. That is one of the biggest piece's of crap ever made.

I can only say the first 1/2 of Catwoman was the worst becausae after half of it I turned it off

How about "The Phantom" from '96 (tons of famous actors in that) or "The Shadow" from '94 (more great actors! poor Alec!) (although I guess the Shadow wasn't a comic book originally)

And then there was, "Flash Gordon" from 1980, title song by Queen, the great Max von Sydow as Ming, plus "Rocky Horror's" Richard O'Brien, and a fun early appearance of future Bond Timothy Dalton...Wow was it bad!!!!!

I also liked Judge Dredd.
The end was kind of a letdown for me though. It was great until the cheesy fist fight and bad special effects at the end
[Show spoiler]when they were fighting at the top of the statue of liberty. The statue looked extremely fake compared to everything else.
It was great until then (which downgraded it to just being good/decent.)
Does anyone know what happened? Did they run out of budget?

I watched that a couple of weeks ago and have to strongly agree. Ugh! That was absolutely terrible. As bad as Hasselhoff was though, the chick who played the villain in that picture should get her SAG card revoked.

Other notables:

Daredevil
Catwoman
Man-Thing (way bad Sci-Fi channel fare)
Superman 4
Red Sonja

They actually added stuff. The chase on the lawmaster bikes for instance was beefed up considerably late in the game. They added to the budget in the end! But it was a troublesome shoot... Danny Cannon allegedly had a much harder "R" rated cut (the shoot out with the "clones" was supposedly more messy) but that was lost.

Considering the cult of Dredd, I am surprised that Disney (Buena Vista) haven't released a slightly better DVD version in all these years (at least a version that was 16x9 enhanced!).

I have a soft spot for the 1995 movie. Dredd for me, as a real interpretation on the comic books (and I remember the 2000 AD days when I was a kid...) hasn't happened, but this'll do until someone has the balls to do it properly.

And as to "worst" comic book movie...

STEEL... anyone remember that?

Of course, I wouldn't tell that to Shaq's face....
