Default Top 5 Comic Book/Super Hero Turned Into Movies Of Alltime??

This excludes animated and actual cartoon movies! Only list movies that are real life type movies. Also be specific on if its a sequel or which part u are referring to. Dont list a whole sequel as a one movie unless all 3 would be in your top 5 and if so then list them individually! I would say my top 5 would be:

1. Superman 2
2. Blade
3. Iron Man
4. The Incredible Hulk
5. Superman: The Movie

Got Em!!

Unbreakable is not based on a comic book.

Anyway, my list would be:

Superman Returns
Superman: The Movie
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
Hulk
X-Men 2: X-Men United

are you counting stuff like Road to Perdition, American Splendor, Ghost World, and From Hell? they are all from graphic novels/comics

or just "super hero" adaptations?

I think we might see this as a category at the Oscars eventually with it being done so often

V for vendetta, The Crow, Watchmen, Iron Man, Batman Begins, Sin City for super hero-ish stuff...

and the first 15 minutes of X-men, until the attack on the icy road, was perfect. goes downhill from there

You sure love your top-5 threads, eh?

1) The Dark Knight
2) Batman
3) Batman Begins
4) Batman Returns
5) The Incredible Hulk

Yes, I love Batman. If Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen counts, then that would be #5 and TIH would be in the honourable mentions.

Honourable Mention: Iron Man, Watchmen, Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Hellboy

I know I have 6 but I couldnt erase any of those 6 and thats my order to!!
I'm taking the superhero and comic book-style movie approach, without adaptation being a requirement...

1. Batman: The Movie (1966)
2. Darkman (1990)
3. Sin City (2005)
4. Superman: The Movie (1978)
5. Watchmen (2009)

Honorable Mentions:
6. Orgazmo (1998)
7. Batman (1989)
8. Blade (1998)
9. V for Vendetta (2005)
10. Unbreakable (2000)

I should just keep my mouth shut...but the Spider-man trilogy, The Dark Knight, Iron Man and Hellboy 1 & 2 are all overrated.

OP, do you prefer Lester or Donner's cut?

I dont think Hellboy is rated that high to begin with. As for which Superman 2 movie. Im not sure which one I used to watch growing up. I dont know if i even seen both versions. Is it a big difference??

Yeah, it's a pretty big difference. Not a typical "few scenes added" director's cut. You probably grew up with the Lester cut seeing Donner's came out in 2006. Just curious--it's an intriguing fan debate.

If it's what I think it is then it's the Richard Lester "theatrical version". This is the better version in my opinion. Even though 70% of the movie was filmed by Richard Donner, Richard Lester was able to make good use of the footages. He was able to insert a more credible first act for Superman II as well as expanding the Metropolis fight with the Phantom Zone villains along with other edits within the movie.

Check the director's credit on the DVD. I'm still waiting for the theatrical version to come out on BD.
