Default Those of you who bought the $600 launch PS3

Do you now wish you had waited since it's $300 these days? Or are you happy you jumped in at the beginning? I doubt I could pay $600 for a PS3 even though it's probably the best piece of technology I've ever owned.

Be grateful they did. Not only did these people pay over the odds for the best kit in town, knowing that it would come down in price later, they probably saved Blu-ray. I say thank you to all of the people who jumped in at the beginning.

No regret what so ever. Camping out in front of store in the cold windy dust/dawn was worth every second of it.

Note: I had no clue of the format war, nor backward capability within the system itself, nor how many USB port it came with. I just know it's PS3 and I gotta have it on launch. As with PS1 and PS2, it's like a tradition I would say.

Definately worth the 600 bucks.

Come PS4 I'll do the same.

Fiancée and I took turns waiting to pay full price at the midnight release, and even turned down a $2,000 offer for our (#2 out of only 12 available units) spot in line. Neither of us has regretted it for a second. I see it this way: we've been able to enjoy our PS3 2 years, 9 months and 8 days longer than people that bought the slim yesterday for $300 less. That works out to $0.30 per day of PS3 awesomeness, PLUS I have backwards compatibility, SACD playback, 2 extra USB ports and a memory card reader. It was worth every penny!

PS: We just bought 2 slims tonight! 1 for the bedroom and 1 for my niece & nephews! I've been wanting to get them one for a loooong time. Even though I don't regret buying our 60 gig on day 1, I still appreciate the price drop.

I don't regret it because the 60 GB is the best one IMO, but I do wish I would have paid less. lol

If I could go back in time and do it again? I would do it all over again! My launch 60Gb is the gaming console that offers the most!

No regrets at all on the PS3. Sometimes I think it would have been smart to wait an extra year on the HD-TV. I could have saved around $1600 and had a more feature-rich model had I held off. But it's nice that when I do get a replacement in a few years it'll cost a fraction of what I initially paid.

No regrets!

Even though I bought it (June 2007) thinking I was gonna be playing Gran Turismo 5 soon!

We've had our 60GB for about 2.5 years with absolutely no regrets. One of the best electronics purchases we have ever made. The whole family gets a ton of use out of it - gaming and Blu-ray.
