Default PS3 launch

Like everyone else, I have read that PS3 will not launch until November. This is mainly due to the Blu-ray copyprotection. While this does come as a disapointment, consider the bright side:

1) With the launch date now at November, developers have more time to complete their games. Spring time seemed a little too pressuring to have everything done.

2) Sony can now focus more on other things like the final design of PS3 and the price tag for it.

3) With a later launch, Sony has more time to meet the high demand for the console. Unlike Microsoft, I don't think that Sony will have a shortage of PS3's to hand out. A console shortage is a nightmare to both Sony and the gamers. No one wants a shortage of PS3's

4) With the next E3 in May of this year, it's possible that Sony will mention more so that dispite the delay, fans have something to look forward to.

There were a few articles mentioning that the PS3 wouldn't launch until next year 2007 sometime. I refused to believe that. Now I don't have too. Sony doesn't want to disapoint it's fans. The PS3 will put Sony in first place. I really think that delay will help Sony make enough PS3's to meet high demand and avoid a shortage.
