Day 1, as long as it's not digitally scrubbed like "Glad he ate her."

Great news. Day one for me. Robert Preston is great in this.

he's okay, but I wish I had seen Craig Bierko in the lead role on Broadway in 2000-2001

From everything I've heard, he was just doing a Robert Preston impression.

Great news about The Music Man it's my favorite musical. We almost did it in my sixth grade class until we found out royalties had to be paid(even though it would have been free admission) and my school wasn't going to have any part of that. The teacher was going to give me Buddy Hackett's part-that of Marcellus Washburn.
Now how about the play I was in in junior high. The Sound of Music, hope this is scheduled soon.(I was Friedrick the eldest son).

This is a "must buy" for me. I've never owned the film, but fell in love with it a few years ago when we rented it on DVD.

If the price is right and the transfer is good I think I'd be interested.

Great movie.

And, of course, wide screen. I had this once in some format which they'd not done it in WS; and when the Buffalo Bills quartet was singing, you'd only get to see the middle two--the ones on either end were chopped off.

When a movie was made WS, it needs to be reproduced as WS, not FS.

A little bit random. There's plenty of musicals I'd rather have. This is kind of an odd choice. Regardless, I'll be very happy to purchase it!

Very good news indeed, this is among my top 10 favorite film musicals. Hope it also has more bonus features than the DVD like an audio commentary.

I forgot Shirley Jones did a movie or two before boarding that multi-coloured bus on The Partridge Family. She was pretty hot back in the day IMO.

Wow, guess the DTSMA trend has hit Warners. Seems all their newly announced titles are in that format.
