Default New Bedroom Set-up

Ok, so the old CRT TV that I had in my bedroom bit the bullet yesterday, and the wife gave the ok to replace w/ an LCD, which we promptly did. Also, it didn't hurt that a panasonic bdp-60 for $169 put us at the 18-month no interest threshold w/ the purchase of a new LCD. She also gave me the go ahead to start planning a bedroom set-up, with the condition that I only have 2 speakers up front and possibly a sub(of course there will be a sub, eventually).

Anyway, so I'm looking at a 2.0 to eventually 2.1 setup for a master bedroom. I've been looking at bookshelves and have narrowed that down to the new psb b6's or the older b25's or axiom m3v2's. I've seen some pretty good deals on def tech bp6's lately. All these options run approx. $350 a pair, with the def tech towers having the advantage of not needing stands.

The question comes to, which of these three options do you guys think I should go with? Looks like I'll be getting either a cheapish receiver or the speakers for Christmas. It will be a while before I have everything together, just putting the options out there...

HD in the bedroom = the way to go

have you thought about moving your current HT tv upstairs and getting a bigger hdtv for the HT room?
you can get a sweet 54" panny 1080p plasma for like $1300-$1400 these days

i did move the ps3 from the living room to the bedroom, but i don't think the wife would approve another tv. i'd love a bigger one though.

as of right now, i'm leaning towards the def techs, as it seems they would give me the most room filling sound based on their design, and also i wouldn;t need stands.

but those psb image b6's look freaking sweet...

Of the speakers you listed, Def Tech would be my choice. Good luck

Arrt, you can get a 50" Panny plasma and a free blu-ray player from amazon.com right now, it is the S1 series, but its only $999 and a free DMP-BD60.

Then Personally I would add the PSB B6s, I like def tech, but I like PSB and Energy and Dali as my favorites.

actually, we bought a new lcd yesterday...an LG 32LH20. granted it's only
32" and 720p, but it will work perfectly for our bedroom.

i just need to add a receiver and speakers in the next few months. i'm quite excited about something new to shop for. of course, it sucks not having the cash to get everything now, but hunting and narrowing down the choices is half of the fun anyway...
