Arrow joeGS300's Bedroom Home Theater Set-up!

Just a few quick shots of my bedroom. There are 2 Surround Sound Speakers (L and R) not pictured.

System Equipment:
- Panasonic 50inch TH-50pz85u
- Sony HT-SS2300 with Sony SS-CN5000 Center Channel Speaker
- Sony Playstation 3 160gig

Custom Made Center Speaker Stand

Sony SS-CN5000

BELIEVE-artwork

BluRay Collection: Row I

BluRay Collection: Row II

BluRay Collection: Row III

John Mayer: Where The Light Is: Screenshot I

Keira Knightly: Screenshot I

Keira Knightly: Screenshot II

Please remember this is a bedroom set-up so my thoughts were that any serious upgrades in audio would be severe overkill. Let me know what you guys think and rate it in my HT Gallery on the left!

joeGS300, nice bedroom set-up. thats also what i have at the moment. i have the ht-ss2000 which is similar to your ss2300 and i was wondering if its safe to change the center and fronts? do you hear a difference at all by using a bigger center?

I am so jealous of that set! And it's in your bedroom!

I've been keeping my eye on those to see if I can find a deal my wife won't flay me over.

Thanks Blu! I'm pushin' close to 100.. I'm trying to find more and more creative ways to keep all the Blu's on those 3 racks without having to find ways to move them or separate them... Any idea's!? Haha!

Thanks Frank! I think it's totally safe to change the center speaker.. just make sure it's to something Sony. The SS-CN5000 is a GREAT speaker.. It took me a little while to break it in though (a few days) because dialoge wasn't sounding as clear as I thought it could. You could change the fronts too, but again, you might want to check with your receiver specifications and see what it can handle. Personally, I would like to change to something new as well, but I'm not sure if the new power can be handled by the receiver. You do hear a HUGE difference with the center speaker, though!

I'm lucky I'm not married! One of my best friends came over after I made-over my room and said that if he was a girl, he would have dropped his panties already! Haha... Sorry if that's NSFW... The set is BEAUTIFUL. It's the perfect size for the foot of my queen sized bed. It's the centerpiece of my room and I love coming home to it after a long days work.

NO SUCH THING as Bedroom+ huge speakers = overkill

lies blasphemy! i am doing just fine

your HT is hideous, esp after that upgrade!/sarcasm

pannys ftw! lookin good! why do u leave ur bed? amazing that stands can even support such huge behemoths lol!

my only suggestion would be to take 4 of the the HT signs and put them on the other side and move the picture frames of your awards/photos ont he left there, just so its symmetrical... its more of an ocd thing for me anyways lol

Thats amazing for a bedroom setup. I'm looking to do something similar with my bedroom, however the girlfriend isn't a big fan of all the flashy toys
I'd never leave the bedroom.

David-- I wish I had bigger speakers.. just can't justify spending so much on something that isn't really necessary.. My speakers are doing just fine! They are REALLY loud when they need to be.. and I rarely blast them anyways. Thanks for the compliments about the set-up! I've tried really hard to create something that I can be proud of... I kind of like the way the signs are.. I'm really OCD about things too.. but sometimes some things just look like you're trying to hard. I used to have 3 frames on the left side but I knocked one off when trying to adjust the backlight of my TV.. The glass shattered everywhere so I need a new freakin' frame. My stand is something I bought from Best Buy.. It can hold a 63'' but it looks as if my 50'' sits real pretty on it! P.S. If I could stay in bed all day I would.. trust me.

Therobman-- thanks for the compliments! I'm sure the girlfriend would love it if you had something like mine but played Sex and the City every night. That would make her happy!

Ahh.. you're right! I'm gonna wait probably a month to enjoy what I have.. I keep upgrading before I can truly enjoy what I bought in the first place. I might go Onkyo/Polk or just go Sony.. We'll see! Glad you broke your TV in!

Thanks Zippo.. I wanted to keep it real mature and sophisticated.. Tried to make it modern yet live-able.. The TV is beautiful and is a perfect size for my viewing distance (about 7-8ft!)

That is the foot of my queen sized bed.. not a tiny of a room, actually. You can't see whats behind the bed.

It's really not that odd if you were in my room looking at it. I guess the pictures can be misleading.

To me, it seems a bit odd that you sit your PS3 on top of the PS3 box. It's also a bit odd that there are tons of wiring everwhere, and how it's not even the least bit concealed. I think it's a bit odd to have your center channel speaker cover about a tenth of your TV set... but hey! That's cool!

This is my BEFORE SHOT (with my Dynex...):
