Default Anyone else have their one Blu-ray set up in their bedroom

I know a lot of people who have a Blu-ray player in their bedroom also have one in their living room as well. And most people with one Blu-ray player have it in their living room. With me I only have one Blu-ray player and HDTV and that is for my bedroom.

One reason for this is I kinda wanted to wait a while before I go out and get a big HDTV and Blu-ray player for the living room. But I also wanted to go ahead and watch Blu-ray movies. So I figured I would start with my bedroom. I have a 32 inch HDTV and a Samsung Blu-ray player that picks up the internet wireless for my BD Live bonus stuff and for Pandora and now YouTube. I have to watch my Blu-ray movies in my bedroom, but that is fine with me. Maybe by the time I do get a HDTV and Blu-ray player for the living room, I might look into this new 3D Blu-ray stuff (since this might be a while it might not be new when and if I do get a 3D Blu-ray set up).

We're on the same path! Got'Em!!!! Currently, the only HDTV and blu-ray player in the house is in my bedroom. My parents don't care much about blu-ray but they're thinking about buying a new HDTV for the living room.

I own a blu-ray player and it is in my front room, but I am tempted to either move it too the bedroom or buy one for there also, the only reason would be to watch films in bed as I have the same size TV in that room also.

I got my main set up in my bedroom but also have one in theden. The TV in my bedroom is better than the one in the den so that's why I use it as my main player.

I'm quickly realizing that I'm both one of the youngest (22) and poorest (no comment) members on this forum, but I just bought my first HDTV (32") and BR player (Panny BD60) for my bedroom (more like dormroom) a couple months ago.

Gotta start somewhere.
Then again, I'm about a year away from a teacher's salary... might take me awhile to catch up to the rest of you...

Don't sweat it dude, You seem to be on the right track. Probably doing better than alot of where at 22. Just get your teachers license and latch on to some rich kids mom so you can upgrade.

id love to reach the point where i dont want to have a television in my bedroom, and limit anything that doesnt have to do with sleep.

anyways, i currently have around 4 blu-ray players scattered around the house, mostly tanks, a magnavox and a ps3. ive accumulated these over the years via finding good deals, and well, a couple of decent trades in the past.

i see you've considered to wait a bit for the 3D experience, and a justified one considering the number of manufacturers are already distributing them.

the way i see it, as long as youre purchases would last for a good 3-5 years, you should be set.

My setup is all in the basement.

My living room has no TV.

No way my bedroom will ever have anything like a TV (till I get to a end of life type nursing home,... Hopefully, my laptop will have a Blu Ray player by then.)

Totally can understand. When I made the statement I did not think of people who may live in a house with lots of "distractions" such as children or whatever. Everyone needs a place to get away sometime.

I have my BD player hooked upto my 19inch HDTV in my room via HDMI.

This is the only way I can have a BD player since the TV down stairs is an old analog widescreen tube TV.

Shame really as I would love to see 2012, Star Trek XI, Terminator Salvation or even Avatar in full 1080HP.

Can't for the following reasons:
1. I can't afford a 1080HP HDTV
2. And even if I could, I have no room for one and my walls are in such bad shape, that I wouldn't even be able to hang a big ass TV on them.

Default How to get the best of my ps3 blu-ray (HDMI quality important?)

Hello, i want to switch my movie purchases to blu-ray but everytime i rent a movie, it doesnt look as good as it does on display on the stores.

I have a 42'' full HD bravia that supports 1080p, but when i put a blu or a DVD , i cant feel the difference, so ive narrowed down to two things, one , is the ps3 good as a blu player, or does the quality of the HDMI cable really matter for the quality of the picture.

I honestly dont know if the cable im using is good, sure it is an HDMI cable, but it came for free with a pc monitor i think so im not really sure that it helps for me to be able to get the best quality of the movies.

So , before going shopping for HDMI cable, i was hopping you guys could shed me some info regarding what may be causing this, and how to get the best quality of the blu ray, also , is there a special set up for the ps3?.

How can i make the best of my ps3 as a blu ray player?.

I'm planning to have my only HDTV setup in my room.
I bought a Toshiba 40" and an Insignia Blu-ray player with Netflix streaming.

I'm still living with my parents at this point; whenever I move out, I'll end up putting the TV a larger room.

How much time do you spend in the living room? With that basement set-up I would never be in the living room or the bedroom. That is very nice!

I don't think it's a good idea putting Blu-ray player in the bedroom, it is the place we take a rest. For the entertainment we should in hall or other room. I like to put Blu-ray Player and Tv in my hall. That is just a plan, because I have not own my house until now.

I have it setup in my bedroom as you can see from my sig below. No one in my family cares about blu rays because they don't see/hear the difference.

Nothing extravagant but I have a Westinghouse 26" lcd and a LG BD570 with a Sony HT-CT100 soundbar in the bedroom. I have a 50" Panasonic 1080p plasma and a LG BD590 in my living room with a Yamaha YAS-71 soundbar.

Default I have the Sony 350 in my living room & the PS3 in my room...

So, yeah, I have 2 blu-ray players, which means I could watch my blus anywhere. Fortunately, my family does see the difference, which helps.
