Default Spiderman 3 to get US release date announced in two weeks!

This news comes from IGN.com

"July 28, 2007 - IGN paid a visit to the Blu-ray booth at Comic-Con today, and as it turns out, we were sure in for a treat. The kind folks at the booth screened a one-minute clip for us from Spider-Man 3 -- in all its high-def Blu-ray glory!

The clip -- from the "Spidey saves Gwen Stacy from the rogue crane" sequence -- looked, in a word, amazing.

We also got word during our Blu-ray visit that news is coming regarding the Spider-Man 3 Blu-ray DVD. In two weeks, a release date and special features for the set will be announced."

I am hoping that they actually announce the whole trilogy, that would be sweet!

That is going to be big. I gotta save like a grand for blu-ray shopping in Nov-Dec. Lots of cool movies being announced.

Even though I was not a huge fan of this one, should have mainly focused on venom, I'm sure it will be a huge release for blu, especially in a trilogy pack...

Nothing has been officially announced anywhere yet

And a huge number of those sites have the wrong date

All they've done is show a few box mockups.

Didn't we get Sigourney Weaver? I don't think she's a dude. Well, maybe...

I really wish they'd release a director's cut of Spider-man 3. Oh God, how I wish...

Default My Spidey sense is tingling... Spider-Man box set on October 30

Courtesy of HI-DEF Digest:

Arriving day-and-date with the standard-def DVD version, Sony will load the Blu-ray edition of 'Spider-Man 3' with a wealth of extras, including multiple audio commentaries with director Sam Raimi, stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, and other cast and crew members, plus nearly a dozen featurettes and more.
In addition, on October 30 Sony will also debut the 'Spider-Man High-Definition Trilogy,' a box set containing all three films in the franchise.

Can't freakin' wait!

I stay out of their forums. I don't hate HD-DVD like a lot of BLU owners, but if I want to talk HD or read the opinions of good folk, I come here. As far as HD news goes, they're pretty good. Although their reviewers used to seem as if they were leaning heavily towards HD-DVD, lately they seem to be coming around to BLU.

Its just however you perceive it.

You have:

blu-ray hating HD DVD

HD DVD hating blu-ray

blu-ray neutreul

HD DVD neutruel

Both Format Supporters

SD DVD

this is just a matter of perception. shades of gray.

As long as you just read the main site parts yes they are, I get sick to my stomach even trying to talk about blu ray on their forums.

exactly what was discussed at NATO. the sony rep said that sony is aiming for an october release. now keep in mind for the special box set the U.S release will be getting a similar box set as of the french release. for spidey 2, it will be a spidey 2.1. all three films will be getting uncompressed PCM. Again this is a reminder that it was discussed at the NATO conference. so its not 100% yet. It is by far what sony is aiming to do. personally i would love to have spidey meeting up with the above goals. AHHH the possibilities.
