I'm very suprised with the Land of the Lost nominations as I thought it was a pretty funny movie.

Ugly Truth was NOT that bad. Good movie for a date night. And I think Wolverine and Transformers: ROTF only take heat because they didn't meet expectations. Atrocious CGI in Wolverine and bad directing in ROTF, sure. Other than that, those are some pretty damn entertaining movies, even if the material wasn't handled properly.

I agree with the other nominations, except I personally think Gamer should have been nominated.

I agree 100%. From what I had read, I thought it was going to be horrible, but I thought it was VERY entertaining .

GI Joe was by far the WORST movie of the year. It deserves EVERY SINGE ONE of those nominations.

Marlon Wayans has to shoulder most of the blame for making it unbearable to watch, but if you take him out of the equation (and replaced Sienna Miller with someone more suitable for the role), as an action flick, it's not that bad. Personally, I found it more entertaining than Transformers: ROTF (with greater replay value, to boot), but that's not much of a stretch. The difference is that one was bad, but the other was worse.

Did you see Miss March, The Last House on the Left or A Haunting in Connecticut?

I thought they were each easily more terrible than GI Joe....Miss March being my pick for Outstanding Achievement in Movie Suckage.

I liked Last House on the Left, I thought it was a solid thriller with good revenge factor.

G.I. Joe is my guilty pleasure movie of the year. It was fun entertainment. I saw it twice in theaters. It really wasn't that bad. I loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance as the cobra commander. The special effects were a little cheesy at times but still not that bad of a movie. Dragonball Evolution takes the cake at worst of 09.

If that award ever existed, I would perhaps choose Battlefield Earth. It proves not only that abusing tilting camera angles and tinting backgrounds can cause seizures, it also proves that A-list characters like Travolta can fail on screen.

LOL the Academy is about sucking up, not put-downs. Travolta is an actor, not a character and besides, that was hardly the first time a top-level actor did a bad movie.

Not even close. It never set out to be anything more than it is, while other movies failed miserably at what they set out to do. That's the main thing that gets me when people crap on the movie. I'm not saying everyone should love it as much as I do, but people should at least know what they're talking about before they do so.

They need to burn the original print. That's what I call "REMASTERED"

however, I would buy it for sheer comedic value if it included a credible film critics commentary.
