Question HDD Upgrade

Hey peeps,

I'm searching around for a decent HDD to upgrade my 40GB to probably 320GB.
I'm aiming for a WD or Seagate for the reliability but has anyone already done this and do you have any tips or pitfalls you can share with me?
Anything will be useful.

Thanks in advance,

Bof

Yeah thanks but I know exactly what to do and where to get the HDD from but I'd like some comments from people who have actually done this and what they found while doing it.

One thing I did find searching the net was be careful with the blue screw when removing the old drive as it strips easily.
Any more?

If you strip some screws, you can still use needle nose pliers, so you should try to keep that handy.

I upgraded to a 500Gb WD Scorpio Blue HDD a few months ago & the only thing even mildly difficult was loosening the screws on the metal tray that holds the drive. Other than that, it's super easy.

Thanks guys. Ordering the drive today sometime. Think a 320GB should be enough for me plus a 160GB only saves me 5 bucks. The 40GB I have just isn't enough any more and I'm on the last few gigs.
If there are any more tips please keep em coming.
