Default How to upgrade to a bigger HDD??

Everywhere it states that you only need to swap the HDD and that's it, but that's no true!
After I swapped the HDD it can't run the software correctly and I need to use a storage media with update 2.53 on it. Is that normal??

What kind of drive did you put in there?
There is only a bunch of "recommended" ones out there, so if you bought one of those its a real easy swap with no problems.
However if you used a different drive, I am not sure what kind of issues it might give you.

What does it or does it not do ?

What do you mean you need to use storage media ?

The updates are not stored on the harddrive itself, they update the firmware which is mostlikely the chip on the mainboard.

Never mind. I thought I didn't have a storage device that big but then I remembered that my phone can be used as an external flash drive so I used that and now it works.
