I looked around online and found some positive commentary on this product:

http://www.ccrane.com/radios/radio-a...h-remover.aspx

If they're just light scratches, this will probably work for you. If they are deep scratches though, you might have to replace the screen.

And if you have to replace the screen, might as well get a new one. Unlike replacing the backlight, the screen is the core of the unit (sans video processing).

Wait.. scratch remover? A scratch is when something is removed.. so how do you remove a scratch? Lol..I am guessing this actually fills in the hole of the scratch.

It doesn't quite fill it in completely. I've used this on a laptop LCD and came out pretty good.

You pretty much won't be able to, so as others here have mentioned you may have to get another tv because lcd panels are super expensive to replace. If the scratch is not that noticeable then just try to ignore it until you're able to get another tv.

I can see it now....

"I local man launched his children into outer-space bare-handed today. In a press interview he acknowledged that space exploration has been a punishment in his family for generations, usually inflicted only when his children 'threw something at [his] TV'. Apparently this is not the first incident, as last time his oldest son threw a baseball through a window and spent several weeks hovering above the planet before landed safely on top Mount McKinley. There is no word yet how long his children will be stranded in orbit."

maybe I should write for the Onion.

I think the moral is

"If you do have young children, invest in a screen protector", or buy a warranty that covers acts of toddler
