Grindhouse: Death Proof coming to blu-Ray?? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know if Grindhouse will be coming to Blu-Ray. Want to buy it on DVD but if its heading to Blu-Ray then I would wait.

Nope, SD DVD only, out on 9/18, Planet Terror out the following month, also just on SD DVD.

I don't understand why everyone wants Death Proof, only the last half hour was actually watchable while PT was entertaining all the way through

Planet Terror rules. Death Proof was just way too much unneccesary dialogue and not enough death proofing.

I had heard it was coming as well but haven't seen an "official announcement". Hopefully we'll hear something official soon. Weinstein has been very quiet lately.

On Blu, will they be on separate releases or put back together with the fake trailers in between like the theatrical release?

It was confirmed in the insiders thread I think that Grindhouse will be available on Blu, but no dates for the release.

Given the way both movies were filmed, I'm not sure we would benefit tremendously with high-def. Like you, I'd still rather have them on blu-ray, though.
