65nm Cell in PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know for sure if the 80gb PS3's have the smaller 65nm cell in it? I have searched the internet but cannot find any confirmation.

AFAIK, the PS3 does not have the smaller 65nm cell processors yet.

Has anyone heard any rumors as to when they might be placing the 65nm in the PS3? I am really close to getting a PS3, but when I do, I want to make sure I am getitng the latest and the greatest (not that it isn't already

). Heat and noise should drop with the new die size, and I want to make sure my movie experience isn't tainted

I hear people complain about fan noise, and i have to tell you i have never even noticed any fan noise what so ever, when i watch movies all i hear is my surround.

Perhaps. Because looking at front view, some cooling mesh is deleted.

It is good to hear that some do not hear the fan. Lately all I have been reading is about the fan noise.
