I cant wait for this one, didnt get to see it in theatres but I had high hopes for it due to RZA's involvement. The man is like a walking encyclopedia of Kung Fu film knowledge.

I hope that "unrated" means an extended cut. The theatrical version had a fragmented story with poorly drawn characters. What a surprise that cutting down a three hour movie to 90 minutes would be a problem!

Didn't know they cut that much. Might be worth rewatching. Read the reviews & saw it in the theater with really low expectations & managed to enjoy it.

Definitely a day one blind buy. Missed it in the theater but watched the trailer about 300 times.

I actually really enjoyed the film. It knows exactly what it is and didn't try to pretend to be anything more. What you see is exactly what you get. So if it looks like a film you'd enjoy, you probably will.

An inept riff on much better films?

Considering RZA is basically a scholar of Shaw Brothers films and other martial arts material, this was a major let down.

I'm actually not a fan of the material this was inspired by. Old martial arts films are horribly acted, look like crap, and the fight choreography is prety stiff too.

Enjoyed this movie though.

I liked the film a lot after seeing it in theaters back in November, and having watched it a few more times over the past week and a half, I've completely fallen in love with it. The story is a lot more enjoyable once you're already familiar with it.

I prefer the extended edition, and am crossing my fingers that the sequel that was set up in the credits gets made somewhere down the line.

Agree 100% with the first paragraph. Don't agree with the second regarding the extended edition. I hated a couple aspects of the extended edition (all I liked was the extra scenes with the monks)

But yes....this movie is amazing and I can't stop watching it haha

i borrowed my friend's copy of this movie. It freakin' stinks! Glad I didn't buy it. RZA is a terrible actor. He should not quit whatever his day job is because acting is not for him. The other actors were decent but RZA pulls them down along with his unimpressive performance.

Question for anyone who bought the Blu-ray: Is there any way to redeem the unrated version of the movie with a digital UV code? On VUDU, the only UV redemption option I'm getting is for the theatrical cut. Thanks.
