Default Ben-Hur collection

Will there be a Ben Hur collection coming in Blu-Ray? Any plans or mention on one of the famous movie? It won many awards and warner made it.

probably not for a few more years, classic titles aren't doing that well yet in HD

once the volume picks up I'm sure Warner can't wait to showcase more of their excellent restorations like Gone with the Wind, Ben-Hur and Doctor Zhivago

but Blu ray are bringing 20 Million Miles to Earth 1957 1967 classic 'Bonnie and Clyde' in march and it is a classic movie, only few years before and after Ben hur movie. Whats difference?

I'm surprised that Casablanca reportedly tanked on HD-DVD. If it were on Blu I'd have bought it ages ago. I guess I'm weird.

This title might do a little better once blu has more of a following because right know it seems like the big blockbuster movies with all the special affects.

I would hope that any Ben-Hur collection would include this one. Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925) IMO this is a grander production

I would expect nothing less than the full complement from the latest DVD release, including the older version.

And Blu-ray (hopefully not a compromised, HD DVD-spec port) can truly show off Ben-Hur. I mean, the aspect ratio of this film is wide -- really wide -- and the DVD image is composed of what feels like half the screen resolution. And that's less than 300 vertical pixels. With the added resolution and bandwidth of Blu-ray, the film could shine again -- although this is one of the cases in which even HD formats can't really replace the cinemagoing experience.
