Default Will You Buy A Toshiba BD Player?

Are there hard enough feelings out there that will inhibit BD fans to Buy Toshiba BD Players when they hit the market?

I don't own any Toshiba consumer electronics, and I don't see why I should start now.

if the price is right and the quality is there... why not? toshiba does... atleast in my mind, besides HDDVD, have a solid line of electronics (ie comp, dvd players... etc) that they have sold in the past. i think there reputation will hurt for sometime due to HDDVD but i wouldn't be suprised if they eventually make one of the best players on the market one day.

An inexpensive blu for $150 from them would be killer.
No 1080i only please.

I would have no malice towards them at all. The only thing that would prevent me from buying one if it was a quality player would be the fact that I've become very fond of the Bluetooth remote on the PS3. Now maybe if they had a nice player with a BT remote I can't wait 'till we start getting bluetooth everything

I wouldn't be opposed if it was better quality than what they are making now and had lossless audio... etc.

oh and it would have to be cheap.

no. i don't support companies that have pulled the crap and deception they have on the market. yeah, sony has f'd up in the past with things like rootkit, but they never sent out constant PRs that made it appear a product was viable and winning when in fact it was losing, which encouranged hundreds of thousands of people to waste a couple hundred dollars. itll be a long while before i buy toshiba products again, same with MS. I've installed Linux on all my computers now, including PS3.

I have so much hate for Toshiba for dragging on this format war. I won't support them. I'm hoping to get the Denon DVD-3800BDCI *coughs* better quilty player. Nicely said stockstar1138.

The rootkit was released by Sony/BMG Music which doesn't have anything to do with Sony Electronics who are pushing Blu-ray.

Nah. It was literally in their hands to avoid this whole mess in the first place. Instead they tried to foist an inferior product on the market. I know it was just business .. which is why I'll take my standalone player business to someone like Panasonic instead.

and look at it this way their first BD player will cost as much as 90 to 150 and that is a chance to get a cheap player, that is if they release one. They did it with HDDVD, so i wont think their would be a problem with buying a toshiba BD player.
