Default Panasonic 8 Series Plasma's on Panasonic.com now

the PX's have preorder options and say they will ship early March.

http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...00000000005702

PZ80 and 85 are there, no preorder option.

Nothing as far as 800 and 850.

any idea the difference between 24p cinematic and 24p (2:3) ?

All the PZ's have a line for both in the spec sheet, however I havent seen one of them with a YES next to 24p Cinematic.

I think I know what your asking its hard for me to explain. Anyway 3:2 pull down is how it was dealt with & still is in TV's with out the 24fps capability's . When they say cinema there talkin about ie: Blu-ray, there 1080p at 24fps so your getting even better than before....In your own opinion of course . Plasma's have such good PQ that my 50''720p/1080i looks so f-ing good it scary! Then my 1080p sets are even better 50'' & up.

Looks like this is not entirely true. the pz80 and pz85 have a spec of 24p 2:3 meaning there is pulldown, not true 24p

I feel dumn asking but what does it matter if it doesnt do 24fps. Is it really that bad if it doesnt? just curious.

The new 30,000.1 contrast is cool but the 1,0000,000.1 Dynamic contrast is really cool

there is not going to be an 850 from what I heard. The top of the line model will be the 800 series.

Well they had the 800 + 850 on a summary of new models announced at CES.

Then again that summary misled many to believing the 85 models were going to do ACTUAL 24p.

So who knows.

I wouldnt mind if they cap it at the 800, then I wont be as torn on what to go with.

There will be an -850 series - it's the IP series with Viera Cast.

The 58" and 65" are for Fall 2008, the 46" and 50" will be out before Summer.
