Default what old classic movies do you want on Blu-ray?

I personally want all the Universal Monster classics, and for the studio to not get money hungry. release one or two blu rays with all the movies on it, i mean...its mono sound....movies are only an hour in length it would be cool for a box set

These spring readily to mind:

A Matter of Life and Death
Scrooge
The Ladykillers
Kind Hearts and Coronets

Not sure how they would come out without a complete makeover, but I can imagine pristine black and white movies would like pretty nice in HD.

I will take the Universal Monsters collection of films (I love The Creature From The Black Lagoon trilogy), but can they be converted to 1080p? Can they possibly look any better than on an oldray DVD?

I purchased the BD of Harryhausen's 20 Million Miles To Earth. The oldray DVD looked fine compared to the super-grainy BD release. I also despise colorizing old films (although I can accept March Of The Wooden Soldiers in color).

Also: My MEGA wish is for TOHO of Japan to restore their amazing series of Godzilla films including Ghiddrah The Three Headed Monster, Rodan, Mothra and the very hard to find War Of The Gargantuas. Again, they need to be restored by a firm such as THX.

Not all classics but Id like to see Larceny Inc. with Edward G. Robinson make it to Blu-ray, not available on DVD.

Some others are Young Man with a Horn, Alexander Nevsky, Old Man and the Sea (Spencer Tracy), Seconds, Inherit the Wind, Chinatown, Mon Oncle, Wages of Fear, Sanjuro, Some Came Running, Suddenly, The Ballad of Cable Hogue, Cyrano de Bergerac (Ferrer).
