Does anyone know if there are any units out yet that give you a receiver and some decent speakers in order to pick up these different types of HD audio? If not, I know they are bound to hit the market soon but if anyone knows of a place where I can pick something like this up I would greatly appreciate it.
I know this is all getting started and may take some time but was just curious if there was anything on the market yet? Any help? |

Onkyo 908 has a 605 and 7.1 speaker (along with ipod dock and DVD changer).
You could buy the 605 and some onkyo 7.1 speaker sets for a couple hundred less.... There are a lot of options, you could get an onkyo or yamaha receiver that will handle the HD codecs for around $400, then get a 5.1 speaker set from tons of the brands out there. Will really depend on what you want, and what you can spend.. |

Thanks Slec but that is what I am just looking for. An all in one system and it appears that the only one out there is the onkyo at this point that will support all audio that BR has to offer.
I guess I will either wait for them to start piling out or possibly by and HDMI receiver and some speakers. Decisions, decisions.... |

There's tons of great stuff out there for system speakers: klipsch quintet, Def Techs, Mirages, like I said, figure out what you are comfortable spending and if you can, give them a listen... Happy Hunting! Last edited by Slec; 04-03-2008 at 03:07 AM. |

how about this one http://www.amazon.com/Sony-HT-SS2000...7196155&sr=8-1
it is an all in one but without a player. however i would strongly recommend an onkyo 605 and a separate speaker system like this http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Cha...7196470&sr=1-1 so that if you want to upgrade later you would not have to get a whole new system ![]() |
