Default Stuck/dead pixel on new plasma?

I just set up my new Pioneer PRO1150HD plasma and noticed a red pixel in the upper left part of the screen. Can this be fixed or do I need to return it?

I had an entire line go out on my LCD...I bought Circuit City's protection plan and they are now replacing the WHOLE SCREEN. Who knows how this will work out but we'll see...

Ive seen online programs or maybe its a disk that you run that apparently can fix stuck pixels on LCD's, but not so sure about Plasma's. May wanna try to search for it. Sorry, dont really have any info on it, but my buddy sent a link to me about it a while back..

If the store you bought from would replace it then why not. However, be aware that if you see another stuck pixel after your 30-day (or however long) return period and it's not visible from normal viewing distance, Pioneer will not do anything about it.

This is exactly the reason why I haven't looked closely at my Kuro. If I'd see one stuck/dead pixel it would bug me even if it wasn't visible from my viewing distance.

usually display makers allow for some defective pixels on their screens before they will accept an exchange. I don't know about Pioneer's policy but usually LCDs and DLP displays allow for a number of pixels to be defective unless they are clustered together an make an obvious defect.

Default My 42 plasma had this problem

My ILO 42in plasma had half a screen of red pixels. They only were visible in dark screens. I had to take it back to walmart and *****. The warranty was only 3 months!

Thankfully wallys gave me store credit.
