Backing up data - Blu-ray Forum

What is the best way to back up data on the ps3's hard drive? I thought of an external hard drive connected to the ps3 via USB.

What about backing up certain data such as game data? You tend to depend on your ps3's hard drive, but when something goes wrong, you have to start all over again on one of your games.

The only external USB drive I have didn't work. I had to use a USB flash drive before I sent mine off for repair. It may be that the PS3 can only access drives up to a certain size and mine may have been over the limit.
