can bd's be stored in regular cd and/or dvd cases?

I store some DVDs in regular cd cases ... which I assume is OK. Is it also OK to store BDs in DVD cases ... and what about storing BDs in CD cases, is that OK too?

By "OK" I mean safe for the disc etc, not whether it looks good

This would be for both BD movies and things I might in the future burn onto BDs (I have a bunch of spare slim CD cases, and I'd rather not have to buy special cases for BDs)

Yea they're perfectly safe tho they make look tacky. Doesn't matter how u store them as long as u don't scratch them...

Thanks. I store my BDs in a closed cabinet anyway with no transparency so they aren't usually visible I do that because I worry if maybe having them exposed would make them fail faster (in terms of dust or humidity ... don't know if there would actually be less dust or humdity in a closed cabinet ... anyone have an idea?)

There's going to be less dust in the cabinet but more humidity depending on where u live and how warm your place gets...

I live in a humid area (and my place is humid too) and it's only hot during the summer at times (but I use air conditioning to keep the temperature under 80 Farenheit (don't know what that is in celsius))

So on balance, would it be better to keep it in a cabinet ... I just bought a cabinet (three shelf) I was going to use to expand my BD collection ... should I return it and just get one of those CD/DVD holder thingamebobs?

The cabinet will hold in the humidity so yes in actuality it would be better to go with an open movie rack of some sort..
