300 is being released again probably to take advantage of the BD Live feature. It was released a year ago with both uncompressed and lossless audio.
Why doesn't WB re-release Lethal Weapon 1&2 in the Directors Cuts and with lossless or uncompressed audio? I may be in the minority but I would rather have the Director's Cuts of Lethal Weapon 1&2 over another release of 300. |

I think the re-release is to add the extras that were on the HD DUD ![]() |

No, no, 300 has PCM. And, yes it was to add the Extras to it, the PiP feature that was on the HD-DVD but not the Blu-ray.

I will be waiting for 300 re release no 7, I guess in about a year. You know, the really 'super' edition of it. The must have version. And all the while the studios are making all the money.

I totally agree, but I'm going to wait for their 10 year anniversary special edition (probably a new format by then).

it has both actually. true hd and pcm. i agree though. i do think there are many other blu's that could use a double dip instead of 300. i dont care much for the whole pip stuff or special features crap. and i was happy with the picture and audio quality. so, no double dip for me. |

Honestly, the list of things Warner needs to do gets longer every day, though, so I guess we should be happy with what we get. Note: I realized I have been bashing on Warner a lot lately, and it's really not entirely fair. While I have issues with a number of the transfers and titles that got released on HD DVD but not Blu-ray, Warner should be absolutely applauded for much of their restoration work, and for releasing a lot of great titles that don't necessary aim for the PS3 demographic. In terms of bredth of catalog releases, Warner is probably unmatched, and I am extremely grateful for that. My comments should always be viewed in the context that I feel Warner too often short-changes the actual encodes of their titles in order to make them look more "video-like" than "film-like." Once this corporate policy changes, I have no doubt Warner will be among my very top studios in terms of Blu-ray releases. |

We knew this was gonna happen. Guys, trust me though, the Picture in Picture feature on 300 is fantastic and shows you exactly how they made each scene and you get to see how it looked without all the grain added it. I used to have the HDDVD version and even my wife thought the PIP feature on it was really amazing. It basically shows you what goes into making a movie. I'm afraid I'll be double dipping on this one.
