Default "CLASSICS" movies Genre added to the Movies section

I'm pretty much brand new here but liking everything I see. What a great resource for BR lovers.

I've used the Movies database quite a bit, I tend to look by genre. Just thought it might be nice if you could sort by Classics (say 1930-1965?). Not sure what the date range could be but I'd love it if it were easier to find all the new releases and reviews of the plethora of B&W movies that are coming up.

Just a thought.

I'm surprised nobody commented on this idea. I kinda thought it was a good one.

How exactly do you define what a "classic" movie is? You want it to mean movies from 1930-1965, is The Godfather (1972) not a classic? I'd consider a couple of movies from last year "classics". Like, Deciazulado said if you want to find a movie from a certain time period just search on a year range.

I also don't like the "drama" genre. Every movie thats not a comedy is a drama, even most comedies have a few dramatic moments.

Abouna, when you search the movie database you can select the years the movies were made, so you can search on pre-1966 movies if you want

Right you are. Just thought it would be nice to be able to click on a category as with the other genres.

I didn't say i had all the answers Yes, the Godfather is a classic. What I'd like to do is to be able to see all the B&W from the so called Silver and Golden eras of film.

Drama is rather broad and vague now that you mention it.
