How to use your PS3 controller in Windows Vista

A programmer of Chinese origin has released a PS3 controller driver that works with the standard USB HID. The driver is called SixAxisDriver and you have to do is install the driver, reboot Vista and then your PS3 controller will be identified under Vista and ready to use. Its available from www.hardcoreware.net but use it your own risk.

pfff, if you are smart get a mac, you just have to wawe the DS3 in front of the MAC display and it will work

better yet! how about using your sixaxis wirelessly with your vista(doesn't work with vista 64). However you will need a bluetooth 2.0 dongle for it to work.

i would of bought a mac. but, they are not worth the current price tag. if they were sold the same price as a pc. then, i would switch over to a mac.

If a Mac and PC were priced the same and you would pick a Mac, you are implying it is better, or at least preferred. If that's the case, it stands to reason that it should cost more than a PC.

I agree that they are expensive, but maybe it's more accurate to say "if they were sold for only x amount more than a PC, then I would switch".

In any case, there are other ways to get a DS3 working on a PC. I configured one a few months ago to use with my MAME emulator, because I felt my keyboard was getting abused from the repeated button mashing while playing some games.

this really isnt anything new as the Windows drivers were released 2 years ago when the PS3 was released

I was thinking along the same lines... There are probably tons of chinese programs/components already in his computer.

Not really. My car and motorcycle are made in Japan. My pistol and rifle are made in America...should i go on.


And like i said, some(joe nobody) hacker(possibly) software in my computer. Wow
